To qualify as a seller, you must have at least 3 slots and be in an alliance. Tushar Dhoot Posted October 7, 2009 Author Report Share Posted October 7, 2009 (edited) How to Buy/Sell Tech in A 3x3 - Explained Through FAQ Alright, sellers and buyers, this is your run-down on how you can sell tech in a 3x3 and why it is actually EASIER than a single deal with someone (1x1). What is a 3x3? A 3x3 is an easier, and more efficient method of buying/selling tech. Simply put, a 3x3 is when 3 buyers are paired up with 3 sellers. This is where you get the name, "3x3". How does it work? In a 3x3 tech deal, buyers send out money in exchange for senders giving them technology. Unlike a conventional tech deal, which takes 30 days to finish, a 3x3 completes (or aims to) on the day it is started. This means that buyers can send their money and get their technology on the same day, and sellers can get their money and send out technology on the same day. This is normally not possible, due to 2 nations only being able to have 1 aid offer between them at one time. A 3x3 gets around that by criss-crossing the buyers and sellers. For example: Buyer 1 sends MONEY to Seller 1. Buyer 2 sends MONEY to Seller 2. Buyer 3 sends MONEY to Seller 3. Seller 1 sends TECH to Buyers 2 and 3. Seller 2 sends TECH to Buyers 1 and 3. Seller 3 sends TECH to Buyers 1 and 2. As you can tell, all sellers received their money and all buyers received their shipments of tech in the same day. How much tech am I selling? What am I getting in return? Just like a normal tech deal, you are selling 100 tech in a 3x3. 50 to one buyer, 50 to another. In return, you are getting $3,000,000, which (after buying the tech) will leave you with a profit of approximately $1,400,000. For some nations, returns can be even higher! Is this better than a normal tech deal? Yes! Even though you are sending and receiving the same amount of money, a 3x3 is better because there is little chance for error, on both your part and the buyer's part.
