nc1701
Well if you want to keep fighting I'm cool with that... Really, we get it you don't like Poison Clan. If you can't swallow your pride enough to admit you lost then your free to keep fighting, I know I probably would in your position... Just don't whine about it from peace mode. Fact One: Payable terms have been offered. Fact Two: Terms have been refused. Fact Three: The war could end today if you desired it too. Based on this it is quite silly and annoying when you whine about the war and terms, I understand your desire to fight. So go ahead and fight till the end of time, but you chose it and you can end it any time, so you better not expect anyone's sympathy. OneBallMan
I would have prefered one of those classic "We don't accept the terms." threads combined with some gun porn and "let's get on with dying".That at least would have been good fun for all, and we all could have moved on with our daily business much quicker. Good point. Send me some gunpron and I will do it.

AirMe
I think we got a FAN on our hands, not a NAAC. FAN at least admitted to being the bad guy. All we have here is TPF saying "WE AREN'T THE SAME TPF THAT WE WERE!!!!!" FAN manned up to their evil. TPF is trying to outright deny it. FAN = Rhinoceros who is going to flatten your $@! treaties or not. TPF is like the annoying guy who played the sidekick in the old bugs bunny cartoons....only their to mooch off the successes of bigger pals and then when the big guy goes down try to pretend they really didn't do anything or that they have changed. Il Impero Romano
Truth be told, I like PC, to a person, and they all know it. I don't believe in rewarding treaty breakers can't believe self-assign arbitrators of PB morality do as well. This I'm guessing is where your alliance's crucial flaw in this decisions makeing process is. Simply put, you are not in a position to "reward" anyone, and you are not being asked to give "rewards". You are however being told to pay reparations for damages done during this war to the victors if you in fact want peace. This is not a reward, but a simple war time practice of paying for what you broke as the alliance who lost the conflict. If you have an issue with how an alliance entered the conflict, it is completely moot in regards to the outcome, as this alliance already entered the war, fought it, and won. Therefore, they get the same rights as all others victors in the situation. The sooner you can you can understand this and get over it, yourselves, your pride, or whatever it is that's stopping you guys from acting reasonable in this situation, the better it will turn out for everyone involved. pooksland
A) Brilliant by having you post this.... I mean who doesnt love OBM B) Obligatory OMG PC IS EVIL! C) Seems to be some confusion with your gov about the terms: Mhawk and Don had a conversation the other day about how it is mainly about it being more then 800M. When it was brought up that CCC might drop their reps as a sign of good faith, Mhawk said good.... now you only have to shave off 300M more before we will accept. Ahh yes, the wonderful semantical literalist. A tried and true technique of progressive discourse. I don't give a crap what you think, for one. For two, you want to play semantics, let's do it this way, we won't be extorted by an alliance who broke it's treaty with us. FoB hate us with a passion, and the feeling is mutual, but we have no reservation about paying any reasonable amount they ask. Go back to your e-law practice. Arthur Blair
So if I understand the OP right, you're saying that every time TPF cancels a treaty they are being big evil meanies that one should never reward, possibly punish?
HellAngel
You know what... i might not like TPF, but you got a point there. I think i'd rather be in perpetual war than pay money to those i deem not honourable, too.

lebubu
29,000 tech to MK and MK gives 20,000 to PC. So we use 980 slots (slots we can use to purchase a little over 32k tech) to receive and distribute reps because TPF is stubborn? No thanks. Ebony Wings
The Phoenix Federation is certainly entitled to dig their own grave if they feel the need, and refusing the terms being offered means that the alliances at war with TPF are certainly within their rights to kick what's left of TPF right on into that grave for their insolence. Just remember that those who die with honor are still dead when the shooting stops. Taking the moral high ground didn't save the NAAC in their final hour, and it won't save you in yours. Lyria
I took a look at PC's declaration of war. They cited this: Article 3: Cancellation If either party breaks the pact, it is considered null and void. You're saying its PC's fault that you agreed to a horribly worded treaty? They took advantage of your wording. This is what all this !@#$%^&* about "e-lawyering" is about? You can try to cover your behinds all you want, but its not going to get you anywhere. Think before you put the pen to paper. Edited July 25, 2009 by El Pilchinator
