The Freehold and the Fellowship of The Wolves recognize the sovereignty of the borders and governments therein of the other. II. Should either Realm be attacked by enemy forces, the armies, coin, and ships of both the North and Valyria shall come to one another's aid. III. Exceptions to the above clause are attacks warranted by overt provocation or another treaty obligation. The other shall not be bound to defending the other in the event of a chaining war, though the right to join the conflict remains optional. IV. If either Realm shall attack offensively, no assistance shall be required, though the right is reserved to join in the conflict by either party if so desired. V. The little birds of both Realms shall be used to share pertinent whispers with the other. VI. If either Realm shall desire to cancel this agreement, seventy-two hours of proper notice shall be given.
