End of OoT War

Recommended Posts

Lucius,

I dont know why your getting on OoT about the terms. If I remember correctly back when I was in Kashmir and we were rolled by NG and Co. we accepted terms very similar to these. Its the way the terms are nowadays since everybody is treatied to somebody in one way or another so you have some fun and move on.

Total respect OoT leaders earned this war: nothing, ZERO, zilch!

You are the owner of an alliance with a listed treaty tie in your bio to OoT.  This is a very interesting position so publicly.

Then you probably shouldn't have accepted those terms either.

I may have even complained about that treaty to I don't remember.

Congrats OoT on accepting this peace. Yes its not pleasant terms esp not for an alliance fighting defending wars but that shouldn't bother you people.

@Lucius Optimus Thanks for voicing your opinion publically, very few people did about this whole war here in OWF but Ofcource we are not suck kind of guys are we :P. But you can't be too hard on OoT. They did what they did for the greater good.

"OoT will stop talking bad about SLAP, AM, COBRA, and the Mujahideen on all venues, and especially the OWF"
But the coalition could have gone without this one.

Not a fan of Roal. Not a fan of muzzling. Bad show all around.

Yes me too not a fan. Muzzling is bad. OWF already is boring most of the times.

For those curious: here are the terms (owf link). We didn't have anyone muzzled (although if Kash/LC/etc had someone as annoying as Roal, iono, might've happened), but we did enforce people saying things where the veracity could reasonably be debated (read: Caustic having a quantifiable wit or intelligence).

What I find more interesting about these terms is the lifetime ban of Roal from alliances not covered by the terms. For example, TTK hasn't signed these terms, so they can't reasonably be held by them to enforce their future protectorates from accepting Roal. Future protectorates that don't yet exist obviously aren't here and could reasonably not know of them, pending their membership composition. The best the victors have is declaring Roal an enemy of their respective states, which would also bypass the fact that, as an independent contractor post-OoT dismissal, his signature isn't here either. Or maybe I'm just elawyering too much and I'm a hypocrite for having broken and vocally supporting the breaking of various elaws, myself. Actually, no maybe about it. This is the single most hypocritical paragraph I have typed upon these boards to my immediate memory. In fact, having reread it, I still support SLAP et al. attacking future TTK/protectorates/etc based on these terms alone, or any war regardless of these terms.

Got to say I like terms 4 (slam poetry) and 5 (conversion to the righteous Islam). We need more of those.

Excuse me, but I thought you were in Non Grata? Perhaps this is not the case, in which case I apologize for the confusion.

There are terms that apply to TTK, yet TTK didn't sign them. I wouldn't have gone with that as a plan, I have to say.

TTK and I believe Jack Layton were the ones who initiated the negotiations with said alliances. I'd imagine TTK were happy with those terms.

The terms are pretty light.

However, if you do want to help your buds in the future, or be able to participate in a war. Start by managing your alliance better, 3 out 34 slots covered is shameful. Indicates most of your membership inc have no or a very tiny warchest.

If anyone tries to call you in a war or you get hit yourself. What are you going to do, beat your chest and hope someone listens?

My AA does not change my opinion. Unlike most weak-kneed SJW and red pill types, I can actually be friends with Republicans, Democrats, Socialists, and Fascists, and still not agree 100% with any of them. Pardon me if your micro sensibilities won't permit variety of philosophies.

And no, I'm not a fan of forced apologies, either, which I think I made clear in that surrender. I fought Kashmir for fun with friends, not for any sort of lesson or political statement.

Most of these inactives need trimming anyway (fixed that) that brings it down to just 18.

And yes I will beat my chest lol.

This statement is extremely accurate!

Let them complain, until the next owf topic comes about and the rats jump to that one.

That is a great term in my opinion.  There is no such things as free speech on the OWF(with the possible exception of someone willing to put aside literally everything else, including anyone caring what he or she says) and never was.  This term clearly states what OoT needs to do in order to avoid future war(s) with the other alliances who signed the peace agreement.

Congrats on peace.

Yes now I think it is a good term to have in this deal because I can clearly see some OoT guys going around and doing what I used to do. Pretty much all the threads involving these alliances were condemned to discussing this conflict if not for these terms.
