It is a backwards nation when it comes to technology and many refer to it unkindly as a 'Third World Nation'. Its citizens pay extremely high taxes and many despise their government as a result. The citizens of Imperial Muscovy work diligently to produce Furs and Coal as tradable resources for their nation. It is a very passive country when it comes to foreign affairs and has no interests in war. It believes nuclear weapons are necessary for the security of its people. Plans are on the way within Imperial Muscovy to open new rehabilitation centers across the nation and educate its citizens of the dangers of drug use. Imperial Muscovy allows its citizens to openly protest their government, even if it means violence. It has an open border policy, but in order for immigrants to remain in the country they will have to become citizens first. Imperial Muscovy believes in the freedom of speech and feels that it is every citizen's right to speak freely about their government. The government gives foreign aid when it can, but looks to take care of its own people first. Imperial Muscovy will trade with other nations with questionable ethical treatment of their citizens but prefers to keep such trade agreements a secret. Proposal: Crack down on piracy. Nations that have the Movie Industry Wonder receive +$2.00 citizen income, All nations on the Red team sphere lose -1 happiness, and gain +25 to their crime prevention score. A recent proposal brought up by the Red Team Congress has angered the Muscovite Government, much to the point where they have threatened to secede from the sphere. The proposal is the "Movie Piracy" Bill, which will crack down on piracy, causing +€1.85 citizen income(exchange rates of 1 USD = 0.92 Euro), and every Red Sphere nation losing 1 happiness. This would make Muscovite happiness 0.38, the lowest it has ever been, and would require the government to significantly drop taxes in hopes of rising that happiness, which in turn would make us unable to purchase the improvements we have been looking forward to for months now, considering our population is almost at the point required to purchase. Peter Ilyich Posted March 14, 2015 Author Report Share Posted March 14, 2015 (edited) MOSCOW SECEDES RED SPHERE; LOOKING FORWARD While the Red Senate has repeatedly offended the needs of the Moscovite people, as well as their pleas, and have not successfully been able to pass a bill in a reasonable period of time. While the bill which would destroy our nation is gone, it has gone in an unreasonable and just as criminal way: expiration. It is time that Moscow was peacefully granted independence from the Red Sphere and given it's right to institute a NEW government under it's own evaluation. The recent "Movie Piracy" Bill, the one causing anger in the Commonwealth and providing for, if it was to be passed, the secession of Imperial Muscovy, was recently discovered to have gone inactive. While it would seem that this would be a happy moment for Moscow, it is the opposite; after some digging took place, it was discovered that the most recent bill passed, or even successfully voted upon, was the "End Hunger Initiative" Bill, which was passed in January. It has thus been announced that today will be the final day in which Moscow is a member of the Red Team. Founded 142 days ago today, Moscow has been a member of the Red Team for all 142 days of it's existence, and this change will mark a terrific milestone in Muscovite history. Peter Ilyich Posted May 17, 2015 Author Report Share Posted May 17, 2015 COMMUNISTS OVERTHROWN, DEMOCRACY REPLACES Recently, the long-ruling Communist dictatorship in Moscow was challenged by a group of democratic supporters. The peaceful protest, one similar to the actions of Ghandi, led to the dissolution of the Communist rule and a Federal Government in its place. The new government is tasked with rebuilding the economy and upgrading the infrastructure, with the goal of transforming Moscow into a world power. Moscow is now part of the Blue Sphere following the secession from the Red Sphere a couple of months ago. Imperial Muscovy remains Unaligned to any alliances or affiliations. Peter Ilyich Posted May 17, 2015 Author Report Share Posted May 17, 2015 IMPROVEMENTS UNDER THE REPUBLIC The new Republic of Moscow, officially the Republic of the Imperial Muscovite Districts and Affiliates, which has now overthrown the Democratic Republic of the Imperialist Moscow, has already been deep into work with the Blue Sphere in improving the Muscovite nation. They have already begun investing into improvements, such as a Harbor, something that the Communists were unable to achieve, as well as working with the people to rise the happiness in the nation.
