Diego Bautista was a short Hispanic, but was incredible shape his muscles very noticeable under his clothes, which were very plain to protect his identity as a soldier. He gave a quick salute before speaking. "I would like to extend my greetings for the UCS. We hear you have been putting up a hell of fight despite the lack of proper military training and equipment, and were honored to help you secure your freedom. Our second wave of supplies will already include military trainers and advisors to assist you in your efforts but we would like to know what else you need to end this bloodshed has quickly as possible."

UCS

He smiles, "Excellent, that's just what we need, that and more guns and ammunition. I won't ask you for heavy equipment because that would get incredibly difficult and tanks and aircraft are very, difficult things to learn in this sort of environment we're running on."

Operation Reginherus

The Four Battle Groups would begin to cross from the Northlands Border and into the Nationalist held territory. They Battle Group Convoys would then separate from each other and move back to their independent commands would would begin to deploy themselves across the Nationalist held territory.

Private Diplomatic Note from Nordisk Rike

(OOC: To Nationalists)

Our troops have begun to cross into your territory and we are dispersing them as we see fit. We will be conducting according to our battle strategies that we have made up prior to getting involved in the conflict. What we require of you is access to your airbases so that we may start to send our Gripen's down to support you in the battle for the air, we will also need all intelligence you have on the Communist and Havenist Government at this time.

You may have noticed our troops entering into Nationalist Held Territory at this time, we however do not wish to alarm you. We are currently deploying forces there in order to deal with the present threat from the French Communist Party. We fear that if they gain momentum then we may have a repeat of a Leninist Regime marching their armies across Europe to Liberate the Working Class. We hope that we can finish deploying shortly, and eliminate this threat for the good of France.

After brief intercommunication between the Republican, LaQueuist, and Havenist governments, a meeting has agreed to be held in Clermont-Ferrand.

The meeting would take place in Place de Jaude. Although none of the mainstream leaders of the various factions would be directly present, it was well known that they would be in the ears of the various delegates chosen to take their place on the stage. The LaQueuists were represented by Prime Minister Claus Ebenfiele de Lorraine sur la Rine, the Republicans being represented by a rather obscure governor who remains the elected leader of Bordeaux, Mayor Ferand Clendeaux, and the Havenists by a small-time noble, Richard le Fort.

The delegates would take a seat at a table set in Saint-Pierre-des-Minimes Church, which overlooked the square, eying each other somewhat suspiciously but brought together by mutual concern and an ever increasing view of each other more as co-combatants against something greater rather than enemies.

The first to speak would be the Mayor, "So, there's no point in beating about the bush, we're all here because we can see the writing on the wall if we continue to fight, and none of us like it nearly as much as we like each other." he says somewhat darkly, "There's little reason to trust that we're not all being horrendously duped by the various international entities that have pledged support to our mutual enemies, or to each other."

"Agreed." Claus says, seeming oddly comfortable, "We're being supported by a great deal of people, but there's no greater support coming for any of us than what's coming for the Coup and their phony Emperor."

"And would you think my queen a sham as well?" the small time noble chimed in, "We're inclined to believe that the two of you are here on honest terms, but as the smallest of the parties present, and the most at risk from the other two and their supporters, we would like some assurance that our wishes will be honored, and I have no intent to see my own monarchy drift into obscurity again."

"Well, that's rather simple isn't it?" Claus replies, "We make the former Snow Haven area a semi-autonomous area with the Queen being equal to her Highness in power over the actions of France."

"That would not satisfy my compatriots." the Mayor says, though he was an ardent Monarchist himself he believed greatly in the concepts of the Revolution, "We need some more democratic elements to it. Perhaps a legislative body."

"The Empress would never agree to having her actions dictated by a council of the elected." Claus interjects.

"The Queen would." Richard says.

"Well that's bloody fantastic isn't it?" Claus says with a huff, "I've been instructed that there is a way that we can make this democratic though, and still keep the Empress well in her seat." he clears his throat, "An elected Monarchy, as the Holy Roman Empire and Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth once did, but not an electorate of nobility, of the people."

"And Snow Haven's autonomy?" the noble asks.

"So long as the Queen would also be an officially elected official." the Mayor states.

"And the term of service?" the noble asks again.

"Life." Claus says simply.

"Outrageous!" the Mayor scoffs, "It cannot be agreed upon, any monarch that was elected would have free reign to do as they please without any consequence, be serious gentlemen, we need some sort of middle ground or we'll all perish under a totalitarian boot."

The Mayor's words sent the table into silence for several minutes, "A vote of no confidence." the noble chimes first, "If there were a great discontent within the population then they could call a vote on whether to retain the monarch or to elect a new one."

Claus looks at him for a moment, "That does seem rather reasonable. A duel Monarchy, elected, with the present constitution limiting their absolute power, to be retained indefinitely pending the satisfaction of the masses."

They sat in silence for another minute before the Mayor spoke up, "Well that was bloody easy wasn't it?"

A Transitional Government has been established by the unification of Republican, LaQueuist, and Havenist forces. A Council of the leaders of these factions now rules the vast majority of the nation and are officially claiming sovereignty and legitimacy, with the support of the majority of the people within the nation.

All Mutual Defense Pacts are being called on by the new government to defeat the remaining enemies of the state, to include: The forces of the False Emperor and the Communist Forces of France.

The Northlands, Yugoslavia, and EAI are expected to respond to treaty obligations if they have not already. Additionally, all neutral forces of France are being called on to recognize the new government's legitimacy, with 3/4 of Naval assets responding positively, as well as the Foreign Legion and Pacific Army. The only forces who have yet to respond are the naval assets in Calais.

La Guerre de Trois Cities (Nationalist vs. LaQueuist)

Nationalist forces, freed up from the Communist front, have smashed through defenses at Paris and Troyes. Royalist forces have retreated to a secondary, prepared line of defense and now await a further nationalist offensive, but it appears that the Nationalists are consolidating their gains and waiting for an opportunity to press their offensive.

<Response to all nations>
(OOC: Each sent without knowledge of it being sent to the others)

In California, we believe that to enter a conflict, there must be a sizable reason. I fail to understand the ideals of your side in the war. Possibly if we understood what your ideals were without the cryptic responses, we would better understand why we should consider siding with you. A rather confusing Civil War with many, many sides.

<To LaQueuist>
You failed to respond to the California Republic earlier, and it's obvious to understand why. California believes that we may send supplies to your immediate aid and the possibility that we may even send soldiers, if you so desire. So, I would like to ask: Are you familiar with the term "Trojan horse"?

To the Republic of California,

Anyone who isn't familiar with the term has been living under a rock for several hundred years at the very least, and can't have been educated to remain ignorant for the few hundred years previous to that. It's one of the most pervasive terms in Western Society. What, precisely, is your point?

Regards,
Tanilee de LaQueu, Empress of France

(OoC: I'm really not up to the task of explaining, once again, what each side stands for. Please don't take it the wrong way when I say "Look back at what they told Nordisk and pretend that that is their answer to you.")

Communique to Tanilee de LaQueu

From the Commonials of California

Let us set a record into place at this very moment, Empress, the California government wishes to aid you in your quest to defend the true wishes of France, as well as to ward off your enemies. Due to unfortunate circumstances, though, unless a major shift in events go into place, California is unable to aid LaQueuist. We do wish to, for the time being, establish sanctuary in California in case of a immediate need of retreat, if you so desire.

To Lysergide:

The Capabilities of the other factions are roughly equal or lower than ours, aside from the LaQueuist, who have approximately double the military capability as we do, in planes, infantry, tanks, artillery, you name it.

To be precise, our intelligence has put the numbers roughly as such:

Royalists (LaQueuist) - 200~300 aircraft, 2000~ tanks, 300,000~ Infantry.

Republican - 50~150 aircraft, ~1500 tanks, 150,000~ infantry

Royalists (Havenist) - 50~ aircraft, ~1000 tanks, 100,000~ infantry

The Communists are difficult to track, as most of their troops operate in an irregular pattern, but we estimate that they have approximately 10,000 combat arms remaining after the collapse of their front lines.

Operation Reginherus

Part of the Nordisk Rike's military movements into the Nationalist Territory was to transport 200 Gripen Jet Fighters to assist and support the ground troops deployed there. Nordisk Military Engineers would begin to work at once to retrofit public roads and set up runways on them to allow for deployment of Gripen over larger territory to allow for quicker response times, as well as to hide the numbers of the jets as they used nearby forests that would be hollowed out as well as buildings that were large enough to hide jets in them in more industrialized areas. Small groups would be in the air to act as a slight screen to keep an air presence over the Nationalist Territory to deter enemy French Jets from wanting to cross the border in case they wanted to push an offensive.

Communist Front

However in order for this Transitional Government to press an attack that could mount to anything they would have to deal with the advancing forces of the Nordisk Rike Battle Groups.Battle Group Fenrir would be dispatch to head along the English Channel, and invade the former Communist Territory that bordered the Nationalist held territory. Stridsvagn 122 tanks would make the charge across the La Seine river. They would force there way across bridges using their speed and protection to take any kind of communist resistance still left around them by surprise. Engineering crews would also begin to set up bridges of their own to allow for more the Rike's armored divisions to pass over quickly. In areas that the Stridsvagn tanks could ford the river by snorkeling this was done as well, and the sight of tanks emerging on the other side of the river would take any civilians by surprise. The invasion would begin as a general offensive across the entire border of the former Communist Territory. Not using recon teams was decided based on information of the Communists collapse, and news that other troops might be moving into the area as well.

All guns of the Artillery Batteries would be deployed in staggered formations, using cover if and where possible for the stationary guns, and orders were given to all self propelled guns to relocate after any length of sustained fire. All gun crews were well prepared for orders and locations to start to stream over the bands so they could begin to open fire on the locations and level an opposition that was laid out against them. The first steps of the operation had begun, and the following waves of re-enforcement's would await as the massive Armored wall of Stridsvagn 122's to cross the river so that support units of infantry, Stridvagn 103's, and elements of the Armored Cavalry could begin to coordinate together and support the push to Caen.

Havenist Front

The Havenist Front would be taken with a lot more care and caution since they still had active military uses as well as that Nationalist Intelligence had provided that they still maintained control of some aircraft, as well as a sizable body of armored vehicles and infantry at their disposal. This task would be given to the Battle Groups Nordic and Ragnarok. They would be split into two attack vectors. The Battle Group Nordic would be tasked with invading to the west of the La Saone river with the first strategic objective of Dijon. The Battle Group Ragnarok would be give the region on the East of the La Saone river, and their first strategic objective would be the city of Belfort.

The two Battle Groups would begin to send in probing attacks using Armored Cavalry of Strf 9040C's to act as a harassment force, as well as the recon the front for enemy positions as well as their strength. The Artillery guns of the two Battle Groups would remain silent, and their positions kept hidden as the waited for orders to come down for them to be allowed to open fire. While this was going on the other armored vehicles of the Battle Groups forces prepped themselves for orders to exploit any gap that radioed back by the forward recon teams. For now the soldiers waited in silence as the Armored Cavalry teams crossed the border and began to make their way out of sight and infiltrate the enemy territory, waiting on edge to either hear enemy gun fire, or for the recon teams to report back that they were under attack.

LaQueuist Front

With the push by the Nationalist forces along the border with the LaQueuist loyalist forces, it would relive the pressure of the Battle Group Livgardet from taking responsibility of this front by themselves. They would assume the role of supporting the Nationalist Military Forces in their advances, waiting for the Nationalists to radio in any enemy troop concentrations, so that the Livgardet Artillery Batteries could assume battle field control and unleash explosives on the enemy forces. Nordisk Armored Vehicles would begin to fill in gaps left by the Nationalist Forces, and Infantry forces would deploy with them to provide support for the Stridsvagn 122's and the Stridsvagn 103's.

Communist Front

Nordisk forces would sweep through the north with little real resistance. With organized resistance from the Communist Forces of France having dissolved under the most recent Monarchist push, the path would be relatively clear for miles and miles. It was made even more clear when Royalist-Republican forces withdrew from their advanced position in the face of the Nordisk attack in order to let them pass, knowing that they couldn't take such an attack head in in their present condition and not yet knowing if Nordisk was going to come for them next.

On the Seine

The Nationalists pressed their attack, freed up from their other fronts by the Nordisk attack. They knew that the only way to get through the Royalist lines without taking heavy casualties was to hit them before the standard doctrine was set up, the flexible, layered defense strategy of the Regular French military being one that they were extremely familiar with. A swift armored advance of LeClercs was sent through, and airstrikes from Rafale and 155mm artillery were lodged against Royalist resistance in the hopes of disrupting the ordinary strategy.

Unfortunately, they were met with an equal volume as soon as Paris was no longer in danger of taking collateral, aerial superiority missions from both sides being launched and harrying each other in the air and from the ground as the artillery raged at each other. The armored advance would have to begin playing cat-and-mouse with Royalist counter-attacks soon enough, Light infantry forces from both sides coming into contact with each other frequently and engaging in intense skirmishes. It was clear, after just a little bit of time, that the Royalist main line was somewhere a little further back than expected. Snipers abounded from both sides in the towns, forests, and orchards that dominated North-Central France.

All the while waiting for the reinforcement from the South.

In Lorraine

Havenist forces were, to say the least, astonished by the huge volume of troops now flooding into territory they controlled. A swift fighting retreat would be ordered until some assistance could be brought up for them to fall in with. The army was already exhausted from the long battle with the Nationalists, but that faction had less troops total than the what was coming towards them now. They collapsed backwards quickly, though there was no intention of falling back so far that Dijon would be lost. Artillery would only stop long enough to fire a few salvos at the advancing troops before picking up and continuing to withdraw, regular armored sallies being made backwards to keep the Nordisk forces on their toes.

Operation: Sudenimi

The Imperium was forced to react by the Nordisk movements, and the forced landed at Marseilles after the Coalition government had been formed, the 50,000 Marines and attached 750 Type 10s, along with the various Artillery, IFV and APCs on the RoRos and container ships would begin a push northward to meet with the Havenist armies and the RQ-180s attached to the rapid reaction force would be sent into the air, making preliminary intelligence for the forces en route possible, allowing for reinforcements to arrive where they appeared to be needed. The 5 Squadrons of F-15J/Ks would pool their efforts with the Coalition air forces to ensure that friendly fire did not become a reality.

Communist Front

The Armored Spearhead of the Battle Group Fenrir would find itself largely unopposed in its advance throughout the former Communist territory. Minus small skirmishes with what was left of the Communist Militia, the tanks of the Battle Group would continue to press forward utilizing open country side as well as major and minor roadways. These would be followed by the Strf 9040C's that would deploy infantry into small towns and villages along the routes to secure the lines of logistics as they made their quick advances through the territory. Caen was still a distance away, however they were closing in fast with meeting no real armored oposition to speak of. Forward Recon teams would begin to be sent to gauge the strength and defensive positions of Royalist troops on the border, but would be ordered not to attack, only to observe and report back. To deal with any attempts at a counter attack, Stridsvagn 103 tanks would be deployed in defensive positions well outside of view of Royalist forces, and would be dug in and hidden. As well as this, the impressive artillery pieces of the Nordisk Rike would begin to take up positions inside of the conquered territory and would be formed up into batteries, hidden under the cover of trees as well makeshift camouflage nets for when there was no ability to use natural cover to hide their positions.

Havenist Front

With little resistence being found and mostly small counter attacks made by the Havenist Military forces, the forward recon teams would set up forward positions as the main body began to advance. Minor causalities would be sustained thus far, however loses were minimal and considered well within the limits of the acceptable loss rate for an armored recon force advancing into enemy territory. Nordisk artillery would remain quiet during all of this, and fire orders from the advancing Infantry and support vehicles would only be given if enemy military forces were met.

Battle Group Nordic would continue its advance towards Dijon, however at a slower rate than before, making sure to fully protect its forces in the area, and making sure to take optimal defensive positions in case a counter attack was made against their positions. Knowing that Royalist Forces were to the West, and Havenist Forces to the South, they knew they were in a very hostile forward position. While this was going on the Battle Group Ragnarok would continue on its mission towards its main objective of Belfort, however the lack of any unified military presence in the north prompted for minor forces to break off from the rest of the Battle Group as orders were given to secure the territory to the Northeast in the territories that were bordering Northlands and Germany.

Private Diplomatic Note from Nordisk Rike

It is unfortunate that circumstances have caused us to engage in armed conflict with each other. We send this message in the hopes that you will see reason. We will offer this once, if you surrender to the forces of the Nordisk Rike, and have your military put down its weapons and allow your territory to be occupied by Nordisk Forces we promise you that war will not ravage your Kingdom inside of France. We will also see fit to push the Nationalists into recognizing a semi-autonomous state for you to rule that would still exist within the borders of France. You would have control of Snowhaven, and be allowed to rule it as you saw fit, however it would still require you to abide by higher laws passed by the new government after it gains power of the entirety of France.

-Krigsherre Ragnar Jarn

LaQueuist Front

The Battle Group Livgardet would remain on stand by, waiting for Nationalist forces to radio back of any weak defensive positions that the Royalist Forces had left. The armored spearhead of the Battle Group remained at full readiness awaiting the orders to come down for an armored thrust to be made against Royalist Forces. Livgardet would also be the first Battle Group to open fire with the large artillery contingent that they had brought with them. As intelligence came back from the Nationalist forward forces, the artillery batteries would open up almost immediately, throwing their impressive amount of shells at locations that the Nationalist Forces had pinpointed for the Livgardet Artillery Batteries to zero in on.

The Nordic Battle Group wouldn't be unmolested by heavy weapons for long. Though Royalist guns remained silent, waiting for an appropriate time to strike, Rafale etched the sky in tentative, cautious airstrike, both from the Naval base at Brest and more inland Royalist bases. The NOSTRADAMUS Radar system did its best to keep track of the various Nordic and Nationalist sorties, but there were only so much information that could be given to the airforce at a time. The information was used to conduct cautious aerial superiority missions across the whole theatre, but there was a limited area that could be used as an operations area without undue risk of interception by land-based systems.

With Japanese, Republican, and Havenist reinforcement from the South, a defensive formation was established outside Dijon. As was typical, a twenty kilometer-wide zone of depth was established where Les Chausseurs would reign, artillery set up where they could easily support anywhere in the zone. Les Cuirassiers would be set behind the lines where they could easily move to counter any large-scale armored advance by the Nordisk forces and the False and Main line of Fusilliers were set just 10 kilometers outside the city itself. Les Harculeurs would, of course, be set to monitor the Nordisk advance and relay much needed information back to the main lines.

Reply from Abigail of Snow Haven,

At this time, your terms are deemed to be unacceptable by myself and my comrades. We cannot be sure of the words of Nordisk, considering that subterfuge and false words have already been deployed by your government in an effort to gain some advantage. We are also sure that Monsieur Sanicheau would be unlikely to keep such an arrangement for longer than it suited him. Furthermore, a betrayal of a coalition so recently joined would be incredibly damaging to credibility and would lead to a critical disillusionment in my people on whether or not I am fit to rule. We will not surrender, nor will we allow a foreign power to occupy territory that is sovereign French.

Royalist Long-Range artillery would immediately begin to play Cat-and-Mouse with both the Nordisk and Nationalist artillery systems. Nationalist infantry forces would begin to move into what they knew would be a Royalist depth-zone, their own Chasseurs being the first to engage their counterparts, Fusilier not being far behind. Grenadiers would be used to clear out pockets of Royalist resistance, in spite of airstrikes and artillery lodged against them, as they well knew that any major armored advance too early would provoke a response in kind by the Royalists before it could reach a proper objective. The Exclusion zone had to be cut down and recon forces eliminated before the armored attack could spearhead a section of the Royalist line. Casualties would be heavy, but the tactic practically necessitated such.

It should be quite clear to you now at this time that with our backing the Nationalist Forces will win this war. We insist that you end your neutrality and join up with the Nationalist Forces and retake the country of France from the revolutionary forces of this Transitional Government.

-Nordisk Rike Diplomatic Corp

From l'Amiral du Grand Marine de la Mer du Nord,

To Nordisk Rike,

I will tell you what we have told the Nationalist government, the Reform Government, and my fellow Admirals: We will not leave our posts at Calais for any reason excluding the preservation of French interests as a whole. We will not support any party of the Civil War, if it is so clear that the Nationalists will win, you should not require our help in any way. We look forward to seeing an end to the conflict, but we will not participate.

~Amiral Jon de Lanq

From Havenist Front,

To Japanese Reinforcement,

We require your assistance in securing the left flank in order to keep Nordisk forces from spilling through any weak-points created by their advance, by which they could move into Central France. Any harrying of enemy forces you can manage would be incredibly helpful. We are preparing to integrate your forces into our communication of NOSTRADAMUS intelligence.

Operation: Sudenimi

The Havenist battle line was reinforced, with Imperium armor and mechanized forces spreading themselves out along the lower Seine between the Nordisk lines and Central France. The 40 Type 04 Multiple Cradle Launchers were set up defensively along with the Artillery pieces. The armor would lay in wait defensively along the lines decided by the coalition, the Imperium soldiers anxious but waiting, realizing they would gain more of an advantage to allow the enemy to come to them.  LAVs would be more aggressive, acting as scouts to potentially draw out enemy fire and distract as the Havenist line retreated and met up with the Imperium's own line. Targeting data from the Havenists retreat would be used to begin counter battery fire against Nordisk positions, and if the enemy continued into operational firing range of IFV and Tank cannons they would also begin to fire at their opponent. Drones continued to scout as the Imperium's 5 squadrons of F-15J/Ks loitered outside of range of opposing mobile SAM batteries, to be called in where needed to bomb embedded positions.

Acknowledged, Imperium drone and satellite intelligence will be shared among your coalition.

Communist Front

The attempts at air sorties by the Transitional Government would be a hard attempt, with Gripen Aircraft maintaining safe distances within Nationalist and Rike held territory, making sure to maintain safe operational flights with defense in mind. They would deploy for fast strikes and quickly return to the makeshift bases that the Rike had set up. They would always keep their flights in maintained safe distances where the Thor Missile Systems could easily provide covering fire for any attempts by the Transitional Government to gain Air Supremacy. The Rike was not making any plays at this time to gain air supremacy for themselves, they were content with the status quo in the air.

Ground forces had made good headway, the first forward units would reach Caen largely unmolested. The tank formations would skirt around the city, encircling it while the rear guard units began to push into the city using the Strf 9040C's as the armored units to spearhead the push in. The infantry of the Nordisk Rike would follow suit. The Military would be ordered not to fire onto the citizens unless fired upon, and a message would be sent out to the inhabitants of the city that the Rike was there to liberate and protect them from the radical and dangerous Transitional Government. Rearward forces would also begin to set up and protect the supply lines towards Caen as the rest of the Battle Group continued to move through the territory behind the armored advance, a sense of caution would be placed upon the larger moving bodies of soldiers and supplies as they would be easier targets for air or ground based weapons systems that were intended to hit them at long ranges, however ARTHUR Radar Systems that were deployed with the Battle Group were prepped and ready waiting for any strikes to come in so that counter battery fire from the many artillery pieces that were already deployed could begin.

Havenist Front

The slower moving Battle Group Nordic would continue to push southwards using caution as their weapon and only moving their artillery forward once an area was deemed safe enough for them to deploy their batteries. Archer and Gungnir Self Propelled Artillery Systems would still be forced to maintain their cease fire as there was no real resistance in which they had come across in order for them to risk revealing their positions this early in the strike. The main forces would also only advance to move the line of protection up as Recon teams continued to move towards Dijon, closing the gap between the Nordisk Military and the Havenist Military.

The Battle Group Ragnarok however was not having any issues of worrying about enemy fire, they were quick to discover that any resistance they came across with North and Northeast of Belfort was little to non existent. This allowed for rapid advances made by smaller units as they quickly secured the towns and villages in this region of France. While this was going on, Recon teams were ordered to advance towards Belfort and gauge for any enemy resistance located in this city.

LaQueuist Front

The Artillery Batteries would fire short bursts before relocating, knowing full well that the French would fire Counter Artillery Bursts back at those locations, which would then in turn allow for other Nordisk Batteries to fire Counter Battery Fire back at the French lines after the ARTHUR Systems located the locations that the shells had come from. The rest of the Livgardet Battle Group would maintain their defensive positions for the time being, as they waited for further orders to come down. Thor Gun Systems would also be opened up on the LaQueuist Front as they opened fire on every drone that came within firing range of these systems.

Private Diplomatic Note from Nordisk Rike

(Nationalist Forces)

We request that your Military High Command inform us of the weakest position of the current disposition of the Transitional Government Forces deployed on the LaQueuist Front. We require this information for upcoming force deployments as we bring in more Battle Groups in which to engage the enemy forces.
