"Hungary-Slovakia should take note that no Alvonian politician or government representative has made any accusation of ultranationalists or Bolsheviks in your country. Furthermore, Ms. Dressler's speech last week referenced Hungary's situation during the Cold War, not its current government. Once again, no official government document or report has been released concerning possible ultranationalists or Bolsheviks in Hungary-Slovakia. We think perhaps your leadership is being slightly oversensitive."

The Hungary-Slovakian government thanks Foreign Minister Tresler for his clarification on the matter.

-- Prime Minister Nikola Erdos

The Marxist Party of Hungary would like to point out that 'Bolshevik' simply means 'the majority', which we, unfortunately, are far from.  We also assure the Alvonian government that we are in no way terrorists, simply regular citizens advocating for what we believe is best for Hungary-Slovakia.

Elements of the Wehrmacht have been mobilized for what is only known internally as Operation Mirrorball. No troops have been moved from their current deployments and all Wehrmacht personnel, active duty or otherwise, have been told not to reveal anything about their deployments, facing charges of treason if they do so.

Peacekeepers deployed

With the sudden and unexpected collapse of the Baltic Union of Ubersteinia, the 8. Infanterie-Division has been deployed to secure the nation and prevent anarchy. Other Security member nations of the European Community, especially Muscovy, are invited to bring forces to assist in keeping the peace.

It has been decided and requested by Generalleutnant Emmerich Vinzenz Größel that the forces deployed are not sufficient. Therefore, with the approval of OKW, the 1. Infanterie-Division has been transferred to the command of Generalleutnant Größel in 1. Armee. This brings the total forces deployed to that as shown below. In addition, plans for Operation Mirrorball have been fully drawn up and have been handed directly in person to Generalleutnant Größel for his use only until Operation Mirrorball has been authorized to proceed under Director Wilding's command only. Until then, anyone part of the Generalleutnant's staff that reveals these plans to any enemy operative will be considered treason and will be dealt with harshly. The Wehrmacht and OKW are not keeping a record of the operational plans on any hard drive until the conclusion or cancellation of the operation and until then the only people with access to these plans is the Generalleutnant himself and Director Wilding. Anyone else that has these plans in their possession is to be considered an enemy spy and executed on sight.

Hungary-Slovakia's business in the Pacific will be  concluded once our two sailors have been safely returned.  It was never Hungary-Slovakia's intention to hinder any investigations.

Once our sailors our returned home, and Alvonia's military drills near our border have ceased; so shall Hungary-Slovakia's military drills cease, and our border patrol will return to normal.

With the apparent ending of the Ukrainian foolishness to intervene in Hawaii, Operation Mirrorball was deemed unnecessary. All troops that were a part of it were ordered back to their normal deployments and the Wehrmacht as a whole demobilized.

In order to prevent enemy agents from infiltrating and gathering information on classified documents and conversations, the following protocols have been put in place for the following locations: Wehrmacht headquarters, naval bases, military bases, the Reichstag, and Schönbrunn Palace

  • All personnel entering the location will surrender any mobile device, such as cell phones, pagers, flash drives, etc. to be scanned for bugs and viruses
  • Those who have flash drives that have been approved will not be allowed to transfer classified files without authorization from Oberkommando der Wehrmacht, and only if an armed escort is assigned to that person to prevent seizure of intelligence to enemy hands
  • A small contingent of armed guards drawn from the Wehrmacht's military police numbers will be assigned to all locations listed above. These MPs will have training given to them by the Schwarze Korps and will be armed with the MP34K, which will be withdrawn from international AWS sale.
  • Should an individual access classified information for the purposes of viewing it, that person shall be escorted by two MPs to ensure that classified information is not being stolen or reproduced for sale.
  • Should an individual without the proper clearance or authorization attempt to enter the above locations or classified sections of it, that individual will be fired upon without warning.
  • In the event of a war that threatens any of the above locations, all classified information stored at that location is to be burned or otherwise destroyed.

Operation Lunette has been distributed among the Wehrmacht. Current actions taken are only mobilization and cancellation of leave for all those off-duty.

The situation on the ground leaves the 4. Infanterie-Division in Gdansk with minimal support, armed with small arms and organic artillery in the form of the GrW 17 mortar and PzH 2000 vehicles. Air defense is provided by a small amount of Flakpanzers and Fliegerfaust MANPADS. All elements of the Wehrmacht have been ordered to prepare for offensive actions, with staging areas set in Brno and Wroclaw.

The first primary objective of Operation Lunette is to relieve the 4. Infanterie-Division.

The second primary objective of Operation Lunette is to force regime change in Poland.

Therefore, in order to achieve these objectives, the 2. Infanterie-Division, 1. Panzer-Division, 2. Panzer-Division and 6. Infanterie-Division have orders to drive to Gdansk to relieve and provide support for the 4. Infanterie-Division. The 1. Gepanzerte Kavallerie-Division, 4. Panzer-Division, 8. Infanterie-Division, and 6. Infanterie-Division are to drive to Warsaw and capture the false government's buildings and the airport for the Luftwaffe to transfer the false government's officials to Vienna for trials.

OOC: According to FHIC on IRC:

[22:12:53] <FHIC> But on top of that you now get a landingcraft, two Corvettes, and a Battleship. This is because your infrastructure supports them, but you don't have any of the improvements.
[22:13:16] <Markus_Wilding> two additional to the five i have already?
[22:13:19] <Rudy[Away]> Also, Zoot's proposition I think goes hand in hand with FHIC's additions, I think
[22:13:20] <Markus_Wilding> or two limit
[22:13:40] <FHIC> Yes
[22:13:54] <FHIC> I believe that Zoot's proposal means you double your Point Corvettes too
[22:13:58] <FHIC> So you'd have 12

If this is wrong, I will edit accordingly.

The Wehrmacht has been raised to 238,150 total soldiers in light of recent events. These 6,070 new soldiers will be trained by the Kriegsmarine and will be directly under a joint Heer-Kriegsmarine command known as the Alvonian Marinestoßtruppregiment. This force will serve as elite Alvonian infantry alongside the Schwarze Korps and will be counted on to conduct amphibious assaults and other such operations with low or limited army support. In addition to amphibious assault operations, Marinestoßtruppregiment forces will have training in sapping and combat engineering to further increase their self-sustainability. There is currently debate among the Kriegsmarine and Heer as to whether or not the Marinestoßtruppregiment should have dedicated tank support or not.

Ubersteinian anti-ship missiles that had previously been in emplacements have been transferred to Alvonia discreetly for studying. 2 of these examples have been transferred away.

The Wehrmacht has again distributed an updated list of all infantry, armored and support units in the Heer, Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe. As Luftwaffe assignments rotate daily, only attack helicopter deployments have been listed.

Alvonian troops withdraw from Poland, Livonia

After the former Ukrainian state fell into anarchy, which left approximately 500 Ukrainian soldiers and 50 tanks stranded in Poland, the Wehrmacht arrested the former Ukrainian soldiers after they attempted to fight the Wehrmacht. Of the 500 soldiers, 477 were arrested alive, the wounded of which were sent to the Vienna Veteran's Hospital for recovery under armed guard. Ukrainian T-84 tank examples were either destroyed or transferred back to Alvonia, one of which has been donated by the Wehrmacht to the Sczcecin Museum of Military History.

Following this smothering of loyalist forces, the Wehrmacht pulled out of Poland and Livonia as Poland secured independence. According to senior military officials, Wehrmacht troops in Livonia were withdrawn because "Protectorates have become costly for the Wehrmacht to maintain, in both supplies and manpower which we need at home. We are thankful the Polish have so easily gained their independence and hope they will be a steadfast ally."

OKW raises standards for officers

Oberkommando der Wehrmacht, the supreme command for all branches of the Wehrmacht, has ordered that all officers, current and future, are required to read and thoroughly understand Sun Tzu's The Art of War. Any Wehrmacht officer who fails to apply and understand the stratagems and tactics discussed in the book are to be seriously punished and may face discharge if multiple failures are noticed.

First rotation of Wehrmacht and American officers return home

The first of several Wehrmacht officers that were exchanged as part of a treaty with the United States of America have returned home today. Most described being on post in infantry and armored units while in the American state. One officer described his stay in New York as "absolutely magnificent, almost on par with Vienna".

Director Wilding, along with Simon Breisacher, Vlastimila Vlasák, Friedrich Bohn, and Christiane von Grimmelshausen poured over the reports of the American military, mostly on how they operated. "Hm," Breisacher said as he read over one such report, "They seem highly motivated." "Much like us," von Grimmelshausen noted. Wilding paused over one note that an officer had made on his report - "Old World military. Can still smell the pride. And the fear."

Alvonia begins massive NBC threat education campaign

Alvonian citizens and the Wehrmacht have begun a massive campaign aimed at educating and preparing the people and military of Alvonia to defend themselves from NBC attacks. So far, drills have been conducted in offices, schools, and other workplaces, beginning with nuclear weapons first, then moving on to biological and chemical weapons. In addition, provisions have been made for every building in the Alvonian nation to have a stock of gas masks and other biological/chemical attack prevention systems. Families are expected to keep a stock of gas masks in their home, plus at least two extra in case of emergency. Currently, all gas masks and gas mask filters are made and distributed by the military, although there has been consideration towards allowing a select few companies to begin construction of their own gas masks for sale as well.

Alvonian withdrawal from European Community; Citizens express "pleasure" at development

After news of the Alvonian state's withdrawal from the European Community, a poll among the population determined most citizens were "pleased" with the decision made by Director Wilding and his staff. Only a small few were "displeased" or "upset/angry" with the development. In addition, numerous citizens commented on the fact that Alvonia was no longer bound by the European Community's treaty passages, notably the non-aggression pact. Political commentator Corbinian Kraemer stated in his show this morning that "without the NAP dictated by the laws of the European Community, we will find it much easier to enforce our anti-ultranationalist doctrine."

In a speech given by Director Wilding yesterday, it was said that "[we] believed that this bloc was to protect and maintain order in Europe, however it was clear once the ink dried that individual ambitions were soon to overtake the halls of the Brussels headquarters. We have tried what those in Brussels are selling, and we do not care for it."

Ministry shuffled - New Ministers take oath of office

In a surprising move, Director Wilding has relieved Minister of the Interior Claudia Schröder, Minister of Security Wiktor Pakulski, Head of Intelligence Zdislava Slezak, Chief of the Air Force Christiane von Grimmelshausen, and Chief of Staff Vlastimila Vlasák of their duties. Citing "certain failures" and "incompetency", the five ministers and staff members have been given their final paycheck for their service with the Alvonian government.

In order, replacing the old ministers will be:

Isaak von Essen as Minister of the Interior, a man who is known among his coworkers as ruthless and driven in his quests to find the truth and prevent corruption.

Patrick Lehmann as Minister of Security, a well-known agent of the BND who has worked with nearly every section of the BND's many service branches.

Maria Adamczak as Head of Intelligence, another well-known agent of the BfV whose findings proved instrumental in finding and destroying the German ultranationalist terrorist group two years ago.

Vladimír Havlíček as Chief of the Air Force, a decorated Luftwaffe veteran who previously served with the German Luftwaffe before its disbandment.

Joachim Köhl as Chief of Staff, a decorated Schwarze Korps high command officer with previous tours in Germany, Poland, and the Ukraine.

Dalibor Biskup has also been appointed by Director Wilding to Attorney General for the Alvonian state. He and his office will work on all legal cases brought before and to the Alvonian state.
