kongland Posted June 16, 2013 Report Share Posted June 16, 2013 I can suggest a few situations, maybe you can suggest more options. 1.Make SDI working according to the tech levels of the attacker/defender. Let's say, if the basic odds are 60%, like they are now, with the attacker with a tech level 500 - a defender with tech level 250 would have odds (60% multiplied by 250/500) = 30%. If the situation is reversed, the odds for the defender would be (60% multiplied by 500/250) = 120% - in this case that means, it's impossible for a nation with lower tech to get through the high-tech SDI. It will make people to do more thinking choice about how much tech they would need (which can't be bought back with a discount like infra). 2. Make nuclear damage depending on the tech ratios of attacker/defender regarding the number of troops destroyed. The entire military forces of a nation being completely eliminated just with one nuke is nonsense. Much plausible and interesting would have been to have a basic elimination ratio (whatever it is as a percentage) multiplied by tech ratios of the warring nations (like in the example with SDI). 3.
