To the best of my knowledge that happened either very late last year or very early this year. There were already threads that were lost or made invisible (at least without an account) years ago, though.

The New Pacific Order is the largest and most active alliance in the game. We have an active Discord server (250-300 people online at any given time), hundreds of millions of dollars in funding for wonder purchases, and what is probably the most extensive collection of nation guides of by any alliance.

It lets you end things on your own terms, or at least on terms that you acknowledge. It's a chance to memorialize your alliance, share some memories, and transition the community's infrastructure (forums, Discord, IRC channels) into a gathering place for former members who want to come back and walk down memory lane every now and then. Other alliances have gone out of their way to celebrate peace. NPO and its allies touted it as a sign of their success in years past, for instance. And GPA was always an advocate of deliberate neutrality, not apathy or inactivity. People who create a nation and never log back in are model community members by the standard you outlined here. My advice is to disband. If GPA has no desire to play CN anymore, there's no point in maintaining a formal, comatose presence. Anyone who cares about their nation would do better in a more active alliance; anyone who doesn't could still visit GPA's forums or Discord.

Being in the QT Tech tier is way better than being in the QT Pay tier in my opinion. There's a better chance of fighting wars if you're at 20k NS instead of 200k.

There are (depending on your definition of "active") a handful of other alliances that fit the description, but NPO is the only one with a strong, consistent focus on slot efficiency as far as I know.

He's in NPO now. He joined a little over a year ago, and I'm pretty sure he came back to the game at the same time.

Forums aren't dead everywhere. Every NPO department still relies heavily on our forums, and there's plenty of forum chatter from regular members, too.

We did it for two years with TPF and SPATR. Doing it again with only one nation to keep track of won't be hard.

If you were truly friends with NPO you'd honor NPO's requests and stop attacking our protectorate. We have little interest in being "friends" with drama queens who think their opinions matter more than NPO's public obligations to another alliance.

I like these alliances, therefore I like this bloc. Congrats to all of you.

TPF started picking fights with other NPO allies (NSO, NG, AZTEC) about a year and a half before the treaty was cancelled. On top of their government slowly going inactive, feeling they had veto power over NPO's FA, and consistently voicing support for wars against said NPO allies, TPF decided to sign an MD-level treaty with MI6. It was common knowledge that MI6 and NPO were on bad terms with one another at the time and that there was likely to be a war between MI6 and NPO+allies. So NPO felt justified cancelling the treaty, especially after its initial reactions to TPF's behavior were conciliatory (NPO cancelled its NSO treaty a year before it cancelled its treaty with TPF). Otherwise your accounting is correct - NPO and allies hit TPF preemptively after declaring war on MI6. And yes, it was a mess.

To be fair, I think some of them have been spinning since Letum became Emperor.

We're not paranoid if they really are out to get us.

Just to be clear, this doesn't change the fact that NPO is Jewish.

NPO has been allied to a majority of C&G for about half of the bloc's existence. Not sure who the joke's on there....but congrats regardless on the places you've been and the things you've achieved. o/ C&G

This has been a long time coming, but still. TOP, you've been here almost since the beginning and, although you were rarely the face of power in CN, you were never far from it. Unlike the multitudes of forgettable alliances that failed to make a mark on the game, you guys will be remembered as pioneers of the elite alliance model and as perennial contenders for the throne. And even though your attempts to seize it ultimately ended in failure, the trail of collateral wreckage through CN history speaks for itself. Good luck Paradoxians.
