  1. The Königreich of Brandenburg would be honored to discuss things with the Northlands.
  2. The Königreich of Brandenburg happily welcomes Iceland into the world.
  3. Secret Transmission TO: Alvonia FROM: Königreich of Brandenburg SUBJ: Military Vechicles (RESP) We would be honored to have you build factories for us that would build the armored vehicles our Reichswehr so desperately needs. We desire thirty Leopard 2A5 MBTs and fourty Marder 1A4 IFVs at this time; as we wish to maintain neutrality and do not wish to wage war unless it is in our own defense, we do not expect to maintain that big a military, just one big enough to suffiently defend a nation the size of our kingdom. We thank our Alvonian neighbors for this generous offer and I personally hope relations between our nations will be quite warm indeed. King Friedrich Marienburg
  4. The Reichswehr desperately needed the small arms to supply its ranks and while it also needed armored vehicles, it was felt that that matter would have to wait as the need for small arms was considered a far more important matter. Thus, the weapons provided by Sverige was much welcomed as now the Reichswehr could effectively defend the Kingdom while the Royal Police Service could keep the streets safe effectively.
  5. Official Declaration from the Königreich of Brandenburg His Royal Highness King Friedrich thznks all of the nations whom have recognized the Kingdom thus far. We eagerly accept the offer from Sverige to sell its surplus military equipment to us and hope for a stable relationship between our two nations. In fact, we hope all of Europe enjoys great peace that will last our lifetime, hopefully even more.
  6. I would like to claim that part of Germany that hasn't already been claimed as the Königreich of Brandenburg. I already made the DoE thread beforehand, so don't fret.
  7. The Kingdom of Brandenburg thanks the Northlands for recognizing our sovreignty. His Majesty would be honored to come to the Northlands to discuss our future relationship.
  8. The people of northern Germany had, until recently, been living in anarchy; not the sort of anarchy one would expect with roving biker gangs dominating the landscape but the sort with various small principalities and city-states dotting the countryside, battling each other for control over minute territories. That all changed recently when, led by a middle-aged man from the outskirts of Potsdam, a group of people from throughout those parts of Germany not yet under the control of other nations decided to band together and truly unite. That man, Friedrich Marienberg, appealed to the people of northern Germany via radio, gaining support with his calm, confident voice and his eagerness to see the free lands of that area united under one banner. The various communities held a joint discussion and finally, they agreed to hold a region-wide election which resulted in the formation of the Landtag, a bicaramel legislative body that is divided between the lower-tiered Abgeordnetenhaus (or House of Representatives) and the Bundesrat (or Federal Council) and elections were soon held within five months with representatives from all the different states (Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Mecklenburg, Bremen, Saxony-Anhalt, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland Palatinate, Saarland, Hesse, and Thuringia). Next came who would be leader of this nation and the people overwhelmingly decided on having Marienberg as the King, albeit a constitutionalized one as they did not wish for him to have absolute power. Thus, another election was held, this time for the newly-established position of Chancellor with the results being Markus Koch of the Christian Democratic Union. Marienberg was crowned King of Brandenberg amidst a grand ceremony and much celebration; once that was done, the newly established government quickly established a military, the Reichswehr. A small army was assembled with rudimentary brown water patrol boats and small aircraft that would serve as transportation and improvised ground attack aircraft in times of war that was deemed adequate for the Kingdom's defense. Then came the more mundane matters; first, a national language (German) was established, the city of Berlin was quickly designated as the capital, and a flag was soon chosen: the red and white banner of the state that now shared its name with that of the nation. The people of northern Germany were ecstatic: their region was at last a united nation under one single creed. OOC: Welp, it's been quite a while since I last posted here, I'll try to keep up my activity here though it won't be easy since I don't often have access to the computer I have my CN passwords saved on. I will make a post up on the map shortly, basically I'm claiming northern Germany which hasn't been claimed as of yet as far as I can tell.
  9. Personally, I just go with locally-manufactured variants of aircraft and weapons because I can't design my own weapons for crap.
  10. The Uruguayan Republic extends its recognition towards Ireland and congratulates them for achieving independence.
  11. The Uruguayan Republic joyfully recognizes the Polish nation and wishes them a long and happy future indeed. ~ The Uruguayan Foreign Ministry
  12. "We of the Uruguayan Republic wish now ex-President Gomez luck in the life he will spend in retirement from his time in office and wishes new President Navar well in leading the nation of Paraguay."
  13. The Saga Continues Several months have passed and, while there haven't been as many cases of dead journalists turning up, there still is quite a bit of tension in the country as police try to step up their efforts to protect the various news outlets, much to their chagrin. There have been suspicions raised about who could be behind the killings, whether it be policemen, criminals, or even people in the government. The police and the government deny any involvement in what has been going on with the journalists though that has done little to ease people's fears and suspicions. Many journalists have taken to hiding, going under false names and moving out to the country where they'd be less likely to be spotted and recognized by their true names. The tension within the country is the reason why Uruguay remains largely silent, being too busy dealing with the growing anger and sentiment to worry about the wider world. The President himself has remained quiet on the issue beyond a statement early on regarding his condolences on the families of those who were killed.
  14. The Uruguayan Republic recognizes Rhodesia Nyasaland as an independent state and thus wishes them well in the future.
  15. "The Uruguayan Republic is joyful to see another South American nation become independent and thus recognizes Bolivia's existence as a sovereign state."
