  1. Puzzled, the Leader of the Refugee camps is without a doubt in his first sticky situation. Early today, Malar Mu'ayyad announced to the press that he had made his decision, but he now speaks with many leaders of the camp privately. The prospect of staying at home, in their own region is quite appealing to the people in the camps. "The most terrifying thing, I think, is not knowing what we will do. I suppose, truly, that we are at least a little more used to moving than most- being in these camps. But the thought of many of us travelling again does scare me," reports Khalid Mushtaf, a married man. Rumors spread through Al Bayag that perhaps Mu'ayyad is withdrawing from his previous decision. Naysayers in international communities believe this move to be evidence of Mu'ayyad's poor leadership skills. Any reporters that have attempted to speak with Mu'ayyad have been shunned away by a group of men and women, protecting the small community building for the time being. "See, this is just what we were talking about. What will happen when his people want vengeance? Will he stand up with or against? He has no regard for political protocol," argues a reporter. However, many, if not all refugees feel confident in their leader's capability. "I know I can trust him, yes. [Laughter]. He is a good man, and he wants the best for us. Months ago, I could not have dreamt this a possibility. It is all very exciting," Ikraam Najar, a thirty-seven year old women claims. Stay tuned for more updates.
  2. After many proposed plans of action, Mu'ayyad consulted many of the family leaders in the camps. He then found news reporters connected internationally to give his decision. "To all who have opened hearts: Any contributions made were received with gracious smiles. Miracles are witnessed every day as my people slowly recover from the deep afflictions caused by various elements. Two promising offers have been proposed- One in Asia, the other in Antarctica- and an action has been decided. After long consideration, the people find the Asian Region more suitable. Still, we will be undergoing great change, but the climate of Antarctica is simply too much to bear. I, Malar Mu'ayyad, will be the last one on the transports to this new land, and I will see to it that no one is left behind. We are a scattered people, but of varied qualities. We have school teachers, architects, workers, scholars, even. We are different, but united through strife. Surely, we will learn from those around us in the International community. Peace be upon you." Mu'ayyad has already prompted many refugees to begin packing necessary supplies for the journey ahead.
  3. MIDDLE EAST, December 4 - Leader of a chain of refugee camps, Malar Mu'ayyad pushes to find a home in any available Middle Eastern protectorate. "I have no wish for anyone to live like a refugee, however, I cannot see my people suffer the same fates from years ago." Mu'ayyad is desperately seeking international attention in the attempt to relocate four-hundred thousand refugees to a new, safe home. However, not only does Mu'ayyad want safety for the refugees, but he wishes to separate and found a new sovereign nation. Many skeptics doubt the survival of a new, "refugee" nation. "It'll just bring the surrounding area down. Who's to say they wont end up right back where they started, and any funds given will just.. disappear. Its ridiculous," says Edward Fairbee, a journalist and avid researcher of the Middle Eastern region. Nontheless, Mu'ayyad rallies the refugees in the central camp, Al Bayag, as those contained call it. He promises a new land, a new hope. "These people have been torn asunder by countless calamities: War, disease, hunger, just to name a few. They need salvation," Mu'ayyad explains, "If another sovereign nation has any interest, we'll work things out. To assuage any fears, we are not violent, we are not criminals. We are human beings, just trying to wake up the next morning." Conditions in the camps are abominable. Bloated children idly roam shanty alleys, just wide enough for their frail bodies. Drugs and fear are rampant among the refugees. Scarred individuals struggle to eat. Even so, the refugees are hopeful. "We trust in the world, see? Help comes from many good people, but it still is not enough. There are good people. We await our turn to join [them]," Salim Hassan, 33, a refugee in Al Bayag.
  4. The People of Agrion seek territorial claim in any protectorate in the Middle Eastern Region. The protectorate East of Rebel Army and directly West of Marscurian Pakistan is considered by the people to be the most ideal land, but they are not picky- or demanding. After being displaced as a people, refugees have banded together, seeking permanent refuge from both former oppression and the conditions of the camps. This is an offer, a call to other surrounding nations for a gentle hand outstretched to the desperate people of Agrion.
  5. I'll try both. I've tried PMing, and havent had any luck yet, but there can be a multitude of reasons for that. I'll go ahead and post some stuff up.
  6. Thanks! In what forum should I be posting my desire to... well, "be"? As for being an antagonist. I dont mean to assault people at random, nor do I mean to cross limits. Cuba is a small island nation that just pisses people off. The missile crisis being the biggest. They picked their allies a bit unconventionally, but it was -need- that compelled them. I guess antagonist wasnt the right word. "Cockroach" might be better. Anyways, thanks for answering these questions. It'll be fun to finally get a stake in World Roleplay!
  7. Howdy do- I'm a new player, just started a week ago. However, I'm an experienced roleplayer, and I am wiggling in my shoes waiting to roleplay with nations. But I have some concerns... I'd like to start roleplaying immediately, but I dont know if I'm allowed to represent myself as a sovereign nation. I know on the global map (created by players) there are country boundaries, and you cant just waltz in and try and get some claim. For example, I am in Saudi Arabia, and the country of Novak has the biggest claim of the area. Am I a protectorate (and what does this entail?), a cultural group, a state, or what? Of course I'd like to roleplay as a sovereign nation, but as always in RP, "Role with the Punches." In trying to be a controversial nation (Based in Middle East, modeled after Cuba), it'd be nice to know my boundaries. Playing an antagonist is entirely different than being one, and in my attempt to not offend anyone, I'd appreciate learning how to roleplay within the bounds here at CNRP. My question summed up: Is my nation IG a sovereign nation, a protectorate, cultural group, or a state?
  8. (The following is an article from the Middle Eastern News Channel) Novermber 18,2009. President Malar Mu'ayyad delivers a public address next to the bullet ridden doorsteps of the Capital Building. Standing next to him, guarding the president, are a detail of soldiers donning simple olive drab garments and Kalishnakov rifles. The President raises his large hands. The crows cheers vigorously. With a stern face, Mu'ayyad welcomed the praise, silencing after the cheering diminished slightly. "Today... is the beginning of a new era, a new dawn, a new world. In this very courtyard, standing within meters of each other are the liberated people of a new world, and new promise, Agrion!" Mu'ayyad throws his hands into the air once more, the crowd roars in response. "Today, we celebrate change in its finest form. Through God only, we have replaced the tyrannical, oppressive, disgusting Nasser Regime! This change promises happiness, safety for your children and families. A promise that at the end of this very day, and every day still yet to come, we may each rest peacefully in the comfort of our beds. People..... proud people of Agrion, we will be enlightened, provided full pockets, full bellies, full families, and hearts full of hope, compassion, comfort, and truth. We are the chosen people of our God. (Praise Allah!)" It was at this point when men with Kalishnakov rifles arrived in large vans. At first, the crowd looks about, slight fear dancing in their eyes. Mu'ayyad pauses his speech, stepping down from the platform. He draws a large knife, standing near the back doors of the van. Whispers are overbearing in the courtyard. Mu'ayyad takes the microphone as soldiers lift boxes from the vans. "My people, do not be afraid. The pig, Nasser, has used knives to commit murder, " he pauses, showing off the knife of which he speaks, "but I... I will use these knives to provide, to feed!" Mu'ayyad plunged the knife into the box, opening it up. He revealed large amounts of luxury food. As the soldiers distributed the food, Mu'ayyad himself walked a chicken breast to a woman carrying a baby. As the rest of the food was slowly being distributed, Mu'ayyad resumed his place on the platform. "This is what the Nasser Regime has withheld from you! They have, for far too long, denied you such basic humanities. I, Malar Hassan Mu'ayyad, will live to serve you, the people, the chosen of Allah himself!" "Forever Live Humanity," he shouts. "Forever Live Humanity," the crowd echoes. "Fovever Prosper!" "Forever Live the Revolution!" While the crowd uproars with approval and joy in his actions, in some places within the country, Mu'ayyad's forces are still eradicating the remnants of supporters of the Nasser Regime. Small skirmishes trace the country's borders. Many skeptics, politicians, and critics doubt the intentions of the new Regime. However, it can be said that the quick changes in the government and infrastructure have appeased the people. We shall all wait in anticipation to see how Mu'ayyad acts with the power of the Agrion government in his hands. Read the next issue to get a closer look at the man who, already, is a catalyst for change in the newly recognized, Agrion.
  9. In the desert sands, blood has been spilt. Espei, a small Arab nation previously under single-party rule has just been overrun in a guerrilla war thats lasted for less than a year. We now reveal the story... About fifteen years ago, under complete political oppression, many citizens of the former Espei fled the country, retreating into NGO refugee camps. Many of which were the youth. Raised in the harsh settings of the refugee camps, guerrilla forces began to assemble, determined to regain citizenship in their home country, and remove the former ruler, Anwar Nasser. The Liberating Guerrilla Forces, under the command of Malar Mu'ayyad, in the past week, liberated prisons containing political opponents to the Nasser Regime. Using new found numbers, the guerrilla fighters flourished in the chaos of the deminishing country. The military police forces under the Nasser Regime were defeated in a large skirmish yesterday in the outskirts of the capital city, Atla'kam. Many civilians were killed. The numbers have yet to be published. Assuming command, Mu'ayyad has brought swift changes to the political values of the former Espei. With the uprising backed by the majority of citizens, supressed by the Nasser Regime, Mu'ayyad has quickly changed the name of the country to Agrion. Refugees of the Nasser Regime flee the country at the moment, pouring over the borders in the thousands. It is estimated, however, that there are more Nasser Regime political activists fleeing the country than former, oppressed citizens that composed the EFA, the Espei Freedom Armies. The EFA is presumed to undergo the same changes that the government did previously. News reporters are on the scene now, attempting to discover any information on Malar Mu'ayyad and his new intentions with the country in his hands.
