  1. Today I got: Congratulations. Your nation is one week old today. In celebration your citizens will experience +2 happiness today. Your population density of 33.40 population per mile is at a good level at this time. Your military of 1,000 (1,366) soldiers is considered adequate strength for the size of Lotholdtia. The infrastructure of Lotholdtia is adequate at the time with a level of 500.00. So that made me think: Has anyone ever done a list of different nation adjectives? Like for example.. You're a young nation at 7 days You're an established nation at 101 days You're an old nation at 191 days You're an ancient nation at 847 days etc etc..
  2. I'm just starting out (only been around about 2 or 3 days now) so this is really just a clarification about resources. I have Silver. Let's say I trade that with someone who has Gold. Do I get the Silver bonus "Increases citizen’s daily income +$2.00 and increases population happiness +2," and the gold "Increases citizen’s daily income +$3.00 and lowers technology cost by 5%" so that now I'm getting +$5.00 a day? I read that some things are cumulative but that others don't stack, so I'm just making sure.
  3. Team: Black ( I just joined so I'm flexible on shifting.) Nation Name: Lotholdtia National Leader: Roland Moonstar Link to Nation: http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_d...ation_ID=360213 Your Resources: Fish and Silver to start with, and connected to Gold and Pigs. Needed Resources: As I have Silver (and now Gold), I'm aiming to get Gems and Coal. The fish I have wold be good for someone looking to complete a Furs, Wine and Jewelry set. Note: I have a harbour, so I have an extra slot.
  4. Okay, I joined a color (black.. I went through all the colors one by one and noticed that it did indeed have 10 pages while many others colors only had 6 or 8 pages of ranked players) and bought myself a Harbor. Now that I know a bit about internal economics, I will go ahead and learn about trading resources. This part is I believe covered in the FAQs.
  5. Ok, thank you everyone. Now I have a much better grounding in the system. I appreciate all the extra time and effort you have all spent in posting. Considering the sheer numbers of posts, I was pleasantly surprised to find that no one simply duplicated or paraphrased anyone else, but rather everyone had something definite to contribute. Thank you again.
  6. "tech deals" answers the frequently asked question "how do I GET money?" It didn't answer my question, "How do I internally MAKE money?" I may have to pursue tech deals as a means to the end of making my own money, but that's not really what I was asking. Please keep this thread open until I get an answer discussing internal matters, such as infrastructure, in relation to internal income generation. Thank you.
  7. Hi. I'm a brand new player. As you can see if you look, I just joined earlier today. I won't pretend I have figured much of this out, but I was able on my own to at least experiment around, buy myself some infrastructure, pay my bills, get taxes and a few other basic things. What I can't figure out is how my own personal nation itself makes money, and how to make more of it. Yes, I have 25 messages in my Inbox promising me money, tech, and various trades and things but I play Warcraft and I don't want to just be one of those guys who joins a guild so he can grab hand-me-downs and elite gear and stuff from more seasoned players, or in this case older nation. I don't want to just be some leech. If that means it takes me a few extra days to get going, that's okay. What I want to know is how to best optimize my own particular country so that it goes on the road to becoming another Switzerland or Cayman Islands. In my opinion, everyone playing a game like this should have a goal, such as to be the strongest nation, the one with the most trades, the one in the biggest military alliance, and so forth. I've decided that my goal is to be a financial powerhouse, and that means not just relying on other nations, but on generating bucks internally. -- Roland
