1.
I suppose apples and oranges are more similar than any of us previously imagined, eh?
Never let context get in the way of a pithy remark- that's my policy and I'm sticking to it.
 2.
Nobody likes wild, baseless accusations.
*ahem* NPO ARE GONNA REBUILD AND COME BACK AND BE AS BAD AS EVER THEY FAILED TO APOLOGIZE THAT MEANS THEY'LL COME FOR US ALL! It seems to me, sir, that a great many people like this sort of accusation.
 3.
Piling alliances on a single alliance on the opposite front had been nicknamed the "iFOK manoeuvre", because the tactic was applied on my alliance for the first time in Cyberverse history.. Not my concept or idea, but the name stuck I guess.
The former CIS would like a word with you.
 4. I don't remember what that quote is originally from, but I do remember it being a very long time ago about a war that has pretty much nother to do with this one. NoCB perhaps?
 5.
Sometimes propaganda is way too obvious. Oh the art of subtlety.

Actually it is, zzzptm's motives are clear. He wishes to ensure that MHA do not enter this conflict against his alliance(a very wise move to be sure). In his posts you will notice an excessive amount of praise for the MHA, describing them as honourable pillars of society and the like. While these descriptions are not false, his sincerity very much is. He plays up the positive traits of MHA in an attempt to convince them to not declare war against his alliance and he attempts to convince us that should MHA declare war on NV that it would be immoral and dishonourable to do so, while carefully ignoring any potential treaty obligations MHA may or may not have. He uses the very morals he espouses as a political weapon for his own purposes. Rather immoral don't you think?
*WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH*
 6.
If you think leaving MK and Umbrella to decimate NPO's upper tiers is an effective way to defend NPO then by all means continue in your delusions.
I do not think that. Because that is not what is happening, though for the moment it may appear that way. Many have noticed, amongst many a "hurrdurr hippy coward come fight" comment, that the alliances declaring on GOONS have moved the majority of their upper tier into peacemode. There's more going on here than just a bunch of alliances piling onto GOONS. To think anything else would just be, dare I say... delusional?
 7.
I admit the logic behind all these declarations on GOONS eluded me. They aren't that stupid, guys.
Mmmhmmm keep a eye on this one GATO, got MoD written all over her. As for the whole "You're only going to make us stronger by attacking us!", I hear weathering an unheralded and unprovoked act of aggression as a community does wonders for an alliance's morale and cohesion, and ensures the newer members who stick around for the duration of the war are worthwhile and loyal. I wonder who's really going to benefit from this in the long run....
 8. I'm aware of the differences. But look at it this way: Both alliances had a viceroy installed by NPO. Legion, for whatever reason, decided to work out old differences with the people who had defeated them. Doubtless this decision had much to do with the fact that NPO threatened or implied the threat of military action if such differences were not worked out (starting to sound familiar?) This lead to a relationship that gave birth to a military treaty. Legion was widely derided by the community at large, and in particular MK and its allies, for having gone through the process of mending differences with NPO. Fast forward to the present. NPO has failed to do what Legion did in working to resolve differences with a group of people who had recently defeated them in war and been openly hostile towards them. What do they receive as a result? You guessed it kids, military aggression! (I knew it sounded familiar for a reason!)
 9. Everybody who has ever derided the Legion for becoming allied to the NPO and their sphere of influence, please raise your hands. Good, now everyone with their hands up: those of you who are now arguing that NPO was is in the wrong for not pursuing relations with those who had continually and intentionally antagonized them, please keep your hands up. People currently raising your hands: each and every one of you is either a shameless hypocrite or an utter clown. Thank you for your time and cooperation.
 10.
I've heard this pitch from more people than I can count. An appeal to fear doesn't work so well on us. We've stared into the void before, we survived. We're being asked to defend an alliance that has run a smear campaign on us for literally years. AND an alliance that pulled a fast one on us the last time we tried setting aside old grudges to fight alongside them. Maybe one of those I could get over to make something work...but both? The time for either of the Orders to come to my door hat in hand to make amends was before they had enemies at the gates, not after.
I don't hold much hope that I'll sell anyone on my "pitch". Obviously I've no political influence and wouldn't expect Duckroll to take my advice even if I did. Even if this is "the end", as many are hinting at, it matters little to me, as my nation lays in ruins and I myself am not long for this world no matter the outcome of this war. It just gives me some satisfaction that I had a chance to give my opinion and know it was heard before I depart.
 11.
I love how everyone on CNTel thought Rusty Shackleford's posts were crazy, but now I can read almost any NPO/allied post without telling the difference.
Mmmm, yes, and they bear a striking resemblance to many posts made by those made by opponents of the NPO at the height of their tyranny. The "they're coming for you next" argument is indeed a familiar one. This by no means makes it less true.
 12.
Perhaps you are very much right man. But I'd rather take a stab at the front, then a dagger at the back.
Then take it. If an Duckroll remains uninvolved, it could very likely be the deciding factor for one side or another. I realize that you've not had the occasion to do so thus far, but I doubt I am alone in saying that it would be incredibly foolish not to support NPO in this war. If IRON and company let grudges from the BiPolar war keep them from acting, how long do you think your old enemies will permit you to exist peacefully? Face it, if Doomhouse and PB emerge victorious, their vengeance will have been far from sated by the blood of the Orders. They'll have yours as well, with or without your Parodoxian friends to defend you.
 13. Inb4 pissing match over whether or not Doomhouse-NPO theatre should be considered a separate war. ... seriously though should the Doomhouse-NPO theatre should be considered a separate war?
 14.
I'm afraid nobody's going to notice. Sorry.
Indeed. It's hard to be noticed while declaring war on such a great volume of inactive nations and ghosts.
