Very sad to see this, you've always been great friends and allies. Take care wherever you all end up.

This is an extremely sad and difficult decision for everyone at OMFG. All dreams come to an end with the blinding light of a new dawn. May our next dreams be as vibrant and fulfilling. We had built ourselves up from 3 small nations into something greater that we never really envisioned or thought would be possible. While there may be haters out there that say OMFG was a crap/insignificant alliance or never did anything, you’re right in your own respects on a global scale, but not in our eyes. Our alliance build was both our greatest strength and our greatest weakness. When we formed we swore we would never be in a mass AA, we made pledged to never grow above 30 nations and have turned members away and closed our doors when needed. This helped forge strong tight knit friendships between each of us, but the loss of a few nations impacts you significantly as well. We were never really interested with the Peanut Gallery trolling and generally boring postings here. You wont see us in many controversial arguments or actions. We’ve never initiated global wars or been very vocal with those who weren’t our friends or didn’t want to make efforts to become ones. We've played only for friendships and wars and but to have a small hand in shaping things around us. While others may prefer larger AAs from which to impose their power, for us having a small band of intimate friends is one of the only reasons we survived by having fun for as long as we did. My fondest memories of this game will always be of OMFG and the times we had here. Still, while laying low and being smaller, we accomplished some things over time. We've been at just shy of 3mil at our height and an AVG NS of 97,000, nearly unrivaled by anyone outside Umbrella for years. In Karma war we had the highest % of war slots in action at once of all AAs across Bob (Thanks Umbrella and TOP!) as well as fought in nearly every war on Bob since our existence, as we were a military focused AA after all, with a plethora of different opponents from GLOF,HoG,LOST,Vanguard,Universalis,Alpha Omega,TCI,Umbrella,TOP,Sparta, and im sure others I cant recall at the moment. We've been knocked down and grown back up every time with hunger. Sadly after the last war we lost a good chunk of our upper tier nations to inactivity and general boredom here which we weren't able to bounce back or recruit our way back from quick enough. Overall activity continued to dip with the loss of our old guard who was our active and former gov either current or in times past. Nearly 5 years if a lot to ask of most nations and I was thankful for every bit they gave to us. On a global scale we have done things such as co creating Poseidon/PEACE blocs on Purple. While purple drama was fun, we knew it and PEACE/POSEIDON wasn’t our long term home. We had begun befriending Argent, FCC, Gre before the Karma war began and had set out a plan to reshape our place here. Thanks to Karma we fought and later befriended TOP. We knew there was a potential future there as we got closer with TOP and had great relations with Argent, we knew our future was with them but weren't quite just sure how. We weren’t entirely keen on Citadel due to Gre and FCC being inactive dying alliances then and Umbrella was always a bit off-putting from our perspective. We waited for its collapse which wasnt long, waited for Gre to implode, waited for FCC to fade off into the night, and over time we started working on a plan to rekindle and strengthen the friendships between TOP and Argent and our relationship to each of them. This was a trio made in heaven and we had a lot of fun together. Our plan to become closer as a whole was successful and ever blossoming, an unofficial minibloc. OMFG wanted more though when we were in our prime then, we wanted to start changing the world and not just sitting back and riding along which was tough to do with our intentionally limited member base outside of our previous blocs. We wanted to expand our 3way with TOP and Argent into something more powerful, more unique, to try and create another sphere of power. Eventually we would find the final cogs in our puzzle and long lost brothers, Basketball Ninjas, and another fierce friendship was born. We brought them by Argent and TOPs doors bringing them into the fold to create PF which coincided with fate is seemed as Gre had redeclared their existence and they were getting along very well with all of us. Planning goes a long way here, but a touch of magic and stroke of luck is always needed to make something truly special. While PF may not have been around terribly long yet and has overall been somewhat limited in changing the world due to other wars getting in our way, I feel it has already done its share to attempt to create another power sphere on Bob. PF has played a part in the wars to follow since our creation both behind the scenes and on the battlefield. Has created an upper tier monster that would determine the outcome of many fronts of future wars in the upper and mid tiers. My main regret is that OMFG will not be there to see it through to its eventual glory. But we will always be there in spirit. Best of luck to you guys, keep the dream alive. I’d also like to say thank you to all of our wonderful allies who have warmed our hearts and our beds along our jouney: TOOL - this was the first AA for myself and Jedaye and NeoAnderson who came to help found OMFG with me. TOOL was our protectorate and treaty and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the protection while we got our feet wet. We had several other TOOLs join up with OMFG over time and appreciate the foothold you gave us all in this world both here and in TOOL. Black Toadies: our first attempt at a bloc when we were back on Black late 07/early 08. This was a not the best bloc and really was extremely irrelevant and faded quickly it was a start for us to start challenging ourselves politically. We soon found this with Elysium who was also on black at the time. Elysium – one of the models on which OMFG was designed. Elysium dragged us from Black to Purple and the two of us with Valhalla set up a mission to start the PEACE/Poseidon bloc. Ely was military focused, tech hungry and blood thirsty. We loved it. Valhalla – we had fun taking over Purple with you guys when we created the PEACE and Poseidon blocs together. Thanks for helping us see the fun in trying to push the envelope in creating blocs and web manipulation. We had a blast in all of our military escapades we had over the years. Legion – damn you KWIV and Megamind for getting us involved with the WAE. If nothing else Legion had great diplomats with those two! Paper tigers you guys were not, you guys had come a long way in focusing your growth and building up your military via tech and wonders. You had some cahones back in the day, sadly I feel they faded as did our eventual friendship. We had some good times in PEACE/Poseidon. I hope you guys find your strength again. Kronos – well you guys certainly went out in a blaze of glory. While your AA may have been short lived it was lived with a passion. Made a lot of friends here who have gone on to The Ninjas and Gre and elsewhere. TOP – you were the first alliance we had fun fighting, the first challenge we ran into. The amount of quality members you guys have is unrivaled and we’ve had a lot of great memories together. Argent – you guys have been the best friends an alliance could ask for. We were brothers from another mother. You have been our sword and our shoulder. Thank you for making this place fun. If not for our great relationship we never would have pursued the political avenue we chose and PF never would have been created. The Ninjas – had fun with you guys and watching your GOONS wars. Thanks for the good times. Many of you are now at Gre, keep on keeping on. Aesir - you guys were a great protectorate, in fact the only one we ever agreed to have. It was a shame to see you guys not last but we were blessed when a handful of you folded into our home at OMFG. Basketball Ninjas – Being a stat junky and activity/military elitist myself back then I knew I found a match made in heaven when I found you guys. Ive never seen another alliance as coordinated and militarily coherent as BN is. They are sound throughout and have been great friends. Thanks for the fun and help trying to get the flag a few times in CN:TE. o/ Porkshirmp and BURN TIO – our most recent ally and one of our strongest relationships. Thanks for getting us into the Revenge war to in on Sparta on last time. You were willing to go to hell and back for us and I appreciate it. I’ve met and known a lot of great friends there. I wish you much success in your future. Maybe you can fill our seat in PF? I can’t begin to thank enough everyone who was a member of OMFG at one time or another. You guys were the glue holding us all together. You made a place for us to call our home, a community that has shattered the lines between ic/ooc and fortunately many of us still communicate and play outside of this realm. I’ve never had more fun in this game than when hanging out on irc, our devious plans to roll Argent or the all-nighters we’ve pulled on the various battlefields.
