CN101: Alliance leaders spend most of their time diplomatizing on IRC and/or forums and trying to make people join their cause or consolidate their power sphere. Methods range from cybersex to mentioning that you like the same baseball team so there's no real depth here either(once in a while, alliances join forces because of similar views on the game but that isn't really the norm). Disliking the same alliance is usually enough for a defensive treaty. When the cards are looking good, coalitions enter a wait phase of sorts where they essentially keep their fingers crossed and wait for the enemy to fuck up. This usually happens and conflicts that are normally handled via diplomacy result in a global war. I guess the last thing worth mentioning is that no one actually cares about the CB and that the real motivation behind every CN war is to either keep your enemy down or change the "World Order". All of this can be traced back to boredom so the guy above is pretty spot on.
