oh come on, staying in the sanction race thread is Echelon's entire motivation to keep fighting! I feel so empty.

it's intention was to be funny AND insult you and the membership you represent as far as I could tell. It was going to be the first in a series making fun of all the various alliances we were fighting but we just never got around to it unfortunately.

GOD folks I really hate to be the ones to break this to you but maybe 2 members of Echelon even knew who you were before the war began. We had not even gotten through discussing each clause of the proposed peace agreement before Xiphosis went into a tirade about our previous dishonors and such and delivered an ultimatum. If you're not ready to be serious about peace offers yet just say so instead of having ~15 alliances waste the effort and time it takes to have gov present from all the different alliances in one room.

This thread is largely useless without the context of GOD's demeanor during the actual peace talks; which contrary to what this mass message implies was made available to every echelon member immediately after they concluded.

This is basically what I meant by taking things personally. No other Karma alliance is going around saying "How dare you attack us!" You declare, people declare on you, you fight, somebody wins and then terms are made. I am just expressing my admittedly biased opinion that it's embarrassing that GOD needs to beat up AB and it's 37 members for an extra week because they had the audacity to attack GOD instead of any other Karma alliance.

My comment on "taking it personally" doesn't have anything to do with the severity of the terms or how long it took AB to get them, but GOD's apparent belief that the wars against them were because of some deep-rooted grudge against them instead of GOD simply being a member of Karma who their ally was at war with and requested assistance with. I'm not trying to be inflammatory, I just don't see why there are people upset with AB coming in on the oA part of our treaty when it was immediately apparent from day 1 that the defense portion of the treaty would bring AB into the war anyways.

AB you've been an ideal ally in this war, sorry we brought you in against somebody who would go and take things personally.

Echelon declared on every alliance hitting NPO, so to say that we are spread thin would be an understatement. I believe we only had a handful, probably less than 10 declarations on VE nations and those were all in the first 1-3 days of the war before we shifted our focus to the alliances hitting us; so it's not surprising that you didn't hear about it.

Thank you everyone in TSO for taking up war slots that could otherwise be filled with TOP nations. Your help is greatly appreciated.
