  6. Interesting the last time Ivan abdicated a throne it was to Dilber in 2006. Some of us old farts will remember well the dramatic shift in diplomacy and direction of that alliance. One wonders if the Sith are about to embark on a similar shift? I honestly cannot even venture a guess. Where I knew both Ivan and Dilber well in 2006, I literally know nothing of this Lintwad. I do wish him the best in his endeavors, Ivan has no doubt built a strong foundation upon which Lintwad can further the Sith.
  7. I come before you to mark that day in history when the young nation of Neboe first appeared on the face of digiterra. For 4 long years since, the people of Neboe have fought on numerous fields of battle, basked in the light of peace, and enjoyed the prosperity of growth. This morning I stand on a lonely, windswept point on the northern shore of Lake James. The air is soft, but 4 years ago at this moment, the air was dense with anticipation. At dawn, on the morning of the 10th of February, 2006, the elders of the nation of Neboe gathered and signed into being the founding documents thus creating Neboe. Neboe was founded on the principles of honor and integrity. Our nation has been guided these 4 long years to uphold the tenets of our founding principles and has endeavored to act in accordance in every aspect of Neboid life. Neboe’s perseverance was tested early when the deafening guns of the New Pacific Order rained destruction down upon our young nation. In those early days the attacks from nations of the New Pacific Order against the Orange Defense Network sent our nation to war. While our valiant soldiers fought on the field of battle, Neboe leadership played a key role in the negotiations that would bring peace. As the Orange Defense Network achieved peace, the young organization full of young nations struggled to meet the demands of the oppressors in the New Pacific Order and the stringent terms of surrender. Neboe contributed to the reparations demanded by Pacificans and experienced a long delay in the rebuilding effort, but rebuild Neboe did. War once again fell upon the shores of Neboe when the Orange Defense Network lumbered to the defense of LUE. In what some refer to as the first Great War, some the Great Patriotic War, and for Neboe known as the Great Stupidity, Neboe fought with strength and experience. Taking on no less than three foes from the New Pacific Order, Neboe exacted revenge upon the one time oppressors, while inflicting tremendous damage. As with the Citrus War, Neboe leadership played a key role in the negotiation for peace that brought the Great Stupidity to a close. Through long hours spent at the negotiating table, Neboe worked closely with Ivan Moldavi of the New Pacific Order and Electron Sponge of the New Polar Order to find a compromise that would silence the weapons of violence and destruction. Neboe’s efforts combined with those of the great Pingu, Hrmmm, Yavanna, all from the Orange Defense Network and the valuable input from Legionnaires such as Reformentia, SocCarolina, and Yenisey sought to find an equitable peace. Efforts nearly thwarted by the greed and revenge that consumed the lesser minds of leaders such as Kris_Chaos, but that prevailed and secured a period of peace for nearly all of digiterra. With peace secured for the Orange Defense Network, Neboe began a time focused on the building and prosperity of the nation. It was during this time that leaders from Neboe worked to govern the Orange Defense Network. Serving as Senator, Deputy Secretary General and Secretary General, Neboe helped to shape the direction and lay the groundwork for much of the community that is the Network to this day. Leaders from Neboe unfortunately then became embroiled in controversy that rocked the General Assembly as well as the Senate of the Orange Defense Network. It became painfully clear that the future path of The Network and that of Neboe were diverging. There nearly at the formation of The Network, elected as the first Minister of Foreign Affairs, Neboe was now finding itself at odds with the future direction of the alliance to which we had given our all. With a heavy heart, Neboe undertook a most difficult decision and sought to depart ways with the Orange Defense Network, and so on a cold December night in 2006, Neboe was officially Knighted, as Knight IX of The Order of The Black Rose. Serving as Knight IX, Neboe helped to build The Order from its humble beginnings of six Knights and our Queen the Black Rose. In our time with The Order, Neboe is proud to have served as Knight Protector, acting liege and leader of The Order of The Black Rose. We were there when The Order began the experiment that has become the great success in Blackwater. Now during this time of war, Neboe is proud to serve a Knight Commander for Blackwater, the military arm of The Order. Serving on the Knight’s Council, Neboe was fortunate to be an integral part in the formation of The Realm of The Rose. Through its infancy, we guided the enormous efforts of Lady Stella and Lady Hime Themis. Fully established now The Realm moves ever forward with the magnificent organization of Page Kirke. Neboe once again took up arms against an aggressor to defend The Order’s allies. This time engaging a foe in the form of the Old Guard, we proudly fought alongside what was a clearly superior Blackwater military. Combined with our might on the battlefield, and our negotiations at the peace table, The Order of The Black Rose was able to effectively draw to a close that conflict expediently. Four years have passed since the initial founding of the nation of Neboe. We were young the day we created our nation, with the deepest joys of prosperity before us. The founders of Neboe had faith that what they were doing was right, faith that they fought for all Neboids, faith that a just Admin would grant them lasting growth. Neboe will always be prepared for peace; prepared to deter aggression; prepared to negotiate the reduction of conflict; and, yes, prepared to reach out again in the spirit of reconciliation. It is fitting to remember here the great losses also suffered by Neboids. I tell you from my heart that we in Neboe do not want war. We want to wipe from the face of the digiterra this terrible conflict that spreads uncontrollably. We look for some sign from the initiators of this terrible conflict that they are willing to move forward, that they share our desire and love for peace, and that they will give up the ways of conquest. There must be a changing there that will allow us to turn our hope into action. We will pray forever that some day that changing will come. But for now, particularly today, it is good and fitting to renew our commitment to each other, to our freedom, and to the alliance that protects it. Neboe is bound today by what bound us 4 years ago, the same loyalties, traditions, and beliefs. We are bound by reality. The strength of Neboe’s allies is vital to Neboe, and the security guarantee is essential to the continued freedom of those nations that inhabit digiterra. Here, at this anniversary of our founding, let us make a vow to our dead. Let us show them by our actions that we understand what they died for. Let our actions say to them these words: ``I will not fail thee nor forsake thee.'' Strengthened by their courage, heartened by their valor, and borne by their memory, let us continue to stand for the ideals for which they lived and died.   8. For what it is worth Tito negotiated with honor and integrity with us. His objection to this war and how it is being handled runs deep. I get the distinct impression that this decision was a very difficult one for him and it was not one he entered into lightly. Bigwoody you can rest assured that The Order is well prepared for whatever may come. If nuclear war is at our doorstep we shall meet it with dignity and courage.

To our current relations with The Order of Paradox and in regards to any transgressions, real or perceived, we wish to continue to hold those conversations between us and TOP.

  12. Vlad, you know it baby eater! Chron there has been a great deal of change in the last years. With today's treaty spaghetti it'd be hard to imagine another 1:1 like the Citrus War.
  13. The CN relativity is about to collapse upon itself because I am agreeing with Vlad. As far as great CN rivalries go one must look back to the noble beginnings of the cyberverse to find a time when being on opposing sides meant so much more than hurling ad hominem attacks at one's foes all willy nilly. Certainly there have been bigger conflicts that have affected far more nations, but for laying the groundwork for what would become years of relative status quo it all started with the rivalry between the ODN and the NPO. For all of you pushing the NPO v. LUE agenda, that antagonism was born from the ashes of the Citrus War, and cultivated by the UFO, the first interalliance pact. As for the NpPO v. NAAC rivalry, I would say that comes in a close second. All others are just monkeys flinging poo at each other by comparison.
  14. I am excited about the new command of Blackwater. Commander metal built the unit from the ground up and its success has been sharpened by his leadership, I feel confident that Squire ManWeDrago will step into the roll poised for further success. Congratulations to the Squire and the Blackwater division. I am honored to have conducted the dubbing ceremony for Dame Stella the other night. Her friendship goes all the way back to . . . well lets just say it goes a loooong way back. She has been instrumental in the advancement of The Order. I am most proud to welcome her to a seat at the Round Table. HUZZAH!
