first off, i read the stickies and am sure that this is the right forum for this, as i'd like an open discussion about this issue.

i wanted to take a moment to have a discussion with the moderators about the issue of imitation vs impersonation, specifically as it regards to the the moderation team. While this became an issue of intrest for me because of a warn increase, that really is immaterial to the discussio and this is not an appeal of said warn (as that'd be a bad idea)

Now as i understand it the imitation of normal players is ok, but it is definitely not ok to imitate a member of the mod staff, regardless of how hilarious it may be. Now this is is where my questions come in. Personally i think that while its a serious matter the impersonation of the Moderation staff, i don't understand how imitation in the spirit of the season is at all serious. I just do not understand how it can be a warnable offense to immitate a mod, or admin that a pleyer respects in the spirit of the season. Wouldn't it be enough, considering the circumstances to issue verbal warnings before handing out warns for said action?

Also what constitutes an imitation of the moderation team? what if a player just thinks they have a super awesome avatar, and they take it to use as well. Also what if someone were to say be a fan of severus snape in the Harry Potter movies and use an avatar that is similar but not the same as the moderator Severus Snape, is this considered imitation?

i feel my thoughts are starting to ramble and my spelling is going to make some of you most likely want to throw me off a bridge, so i'll end this for now until i get some responses.

Sorry elborraor but admin himself ruled on this one so it is not up for discussion whatsoever. The rules are always more harsh when it comes to messing with the staff or doing something in relation to the staff that will confuse other players.
