Why are topics locked so fast on this specific forum? In some instances the input provided may have been incorrect or was not fully or accurately described.

For instance a post from yesterday was from a concerned user about IP addresses. The answer was misleading to non-tech minded individuals as being on the same "network" does not mean someone sitting in your home or business network with you. The IP address given to your home computer is the routable IP which is provided by the ISP. Most home users have Dynamic addressing that has a lease that expires every few days. If you are not logged on when the lease expires it has the potential to be assigned to a different user. So is it possible that a very large network such as comcast has more than one user playing this game. Are the odds of them getting one of your old IP's high... probably not.

Basically the users concern was valid and yet he was blown off with a very poorly detailed answer then locked to prevent correction.

Game methods of detection regarding individual users is not a subject open for player discussion. The players are not privy to the system and therefore cannot "correct" the moderation staff. Once a ruling has been made that ruling is final--our Game Mods and Senior Staff have heard every explanation in the book several times over and players don't realize the system renders excuses transparent.

If you have further questions regarding moderator conduct you are welcome to PM me at any time--as long as you have documented evidence of your grievences in hand including links to specific examples I'm always happy to look into complaints.

This question is answered and the answer not open for discussion, hence this is now another locked topic. Thanks!
