Franz Ferdinand
"Within the Byzantine Empire, there has been uproar within the populous, demanding that the Empire's most holiest and priceless of cities are returned to the Empire. It is claimed that there was an oversight in the land agreement where the Emperor and his ministers were blackmailed into accepting the concessions. Many groups have been set-up, and have been demanding consistently the return of sovereign Byzantium land. Knowing the dangers of this, they know they are taking a risk, however, as can be imagined, the lands in question are of unquestionable importance. It would be like the British Empire without London, Republique Francaise without Paris, Germany without Berlin, the American Confederation without Washington D.C., etc.

The government of the Byzantine Empire are currently discussing among themselves what their response will be to this."

STATEMENT FROM THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION OF THE NORTHASIAN UNION
"Dissent to Northasia's policies in a nation where we fostered the development of your nation will result in removal of the government. Do not disrespect those who have given you independence, for it can be taken away much more quickly."
Franz Ferdinand
"The government of the Byzantine Empire has decided that as Çanakkale and the Bosphorus are integral parts of our nation, that we have no choice but to request that the lands are peacefully handed over by the honest and right-minded Northasian Government and that they do the right thing in this matter."

"The Northasian Union does not play with empty threats. As we speak, the 600,000 odd troops in the Byzantine Empire has been deployed from their barracks to neutralize all BE forces. At the same time, they will make sure all facets of the Byzantine Empire's government cease to function."
