Morocco

A land of spice, iron, and culture, ruled by Arabians, Persians, Phoenicians, Romans, Portuguese, and Spaniards, sitting still independent in the North of Africa, used by Britain and by Kuwait, coveted by the oppressor, and envied by the oppressed. It is a land that has become a hot seat on this Earth, a place of high tensions and the centre of many conflicts and objections. It has been the heart of debates, and the centre of wars, as man and beast fight over a desert filled with resources and a native culture strong as any on this Earth.

A land used by the Kuwaitis and envied by the British.

A land of spice and iron.

A land independent.

A land of people.

A land of man.

A land so vast, wide, and rich.

A land of conflict.

The land of Morocco is one that has been the center of conflicts and debate since the reestablishment of the British Empire in 2012. It has been annexed, granted independence, annexed again, and now it is used as a human buffer zone between two overly powerful nations. No more.

Canada has decided to assert itself in this world. To some extent this will test the waters, however that is not the main purpose. Rather, this is an action to protect people across the globe and make a statement against the way that nations are run in this time. We seek through our actions to provide a precedent to the peoples of the world and to the states that exist in this world against aggressive expansionism and the use of humans as objects and shields.

The way of the world today is a blasphemy. Humans are not meant to be treated like the Moroccans are being treated, and nations are not meant to be the size that they are and be run in the way that they are. The world is not meant to work in this way, but in a different way.

However, this is the way the world works, and thus we must adapt our teachings and our thoughts and our policies to reflect this new world. We strive to be decent men, in an indecent time, and by that we must be indecent in the eyes of some, yet righteous in the eyes of our own. It is through these thoughts that Canada has come to our decision.

Morocco is hereby under the control of Canada. 100,000 soldiers and 20,000 National Guard troops are currently landing near Casablanca. Two weeks ago, the results of several polls came in, and they were quite revealing. 78% of people favored an annexation by Canada to an annexation by Britain and Kuwait, and 56% favored an annexation by Canada to independence. The numbers and the state of the Earth was enough.

Morocco is Canadian.

The Confederacy strongly opposes this action, and suggests that Canada leave immediately, or the African Union may respond militarily.

OOC: Firstly, I'd like to point out you've made a massive error assuming I have no troops in that region. Since I moved troops towards Africa, obviously it has been taken over. They would have been averted to Morocco and the Canaries until we are prepared to do something about the Emirate. So, suggesting you have assumed control isn't quite right, you have to fight for it. Furthermore, I RP the events in my own nation. this is not your nation. So you can not RP 'polls' within it to your liking.

Men in Morocco have been positioned in the fortifications. The expeditionary army sent to the Sahara is also being utilised, as are the Moroccan reserves. Furthermore, the superior British Navy are patrolling the region, ready to sink any invading vessels. The following tactic will be used, should the invasion go through;

Invincible Warfare (Land to Sea Defence)

ONE
Artillery will begin to immediately shell any incoming ships. Our own ships shall be deployed to slow down the invaders, however no large assaults shall occur at this point. Should any ship be on the brink of sinking, it shall retreat immediately.

TWO
A more sophisticated and organised fleet shall be sent around the attackers to deliver a heavier blow from an alternate flank. This shall buy time to allow for a land defence to be organised and deliver some heavy damage to the attackers. Stray enemy soldiers shall shot immediately, take no prisoners.

THREE
Artillery shall bombard any landing ships that attempt to embark troops on the mainland.

FOUR
Should troops manage to gain access to the land and pass through the immediate front, the main frontline shall be already assembled, due to the time saved from the distractions for the incoming fleet. Already our soldiers will be in advantageous positions, ready to annihalate incoming enemies who have no idea where they are going.

FIVE
Aside from the fundamental front line, reserve troops will have been organised immediately.

SIX
The extra forces shall push towards the enemy forces from multiple unconventional angles to spread their fire. Most importantly however, the forces shall blow into the approaching soldiers behind their front advancing soldiers, as if to blow a whole in their advancing line. This will severely weaken and disorganise the approaching enemy, leaving them defenceless to an attack from every direction.

SEVEN
Any remaining hostilities shall be swiftly destroyed.

Meanwhile across the Empire, troops have completed full mobilisation. India is ready for potential warfare in the east or west. At the homeland, British troops have solidified in vulnerable areas of the border. The Netherlands now possesses 800,000 men, Morocco: 1,100,000 India: Over 5 million across all fronts, and in Britain over 6 million of our most professional men. The Indian and Atlantic Fleets are on standby, and a large quantity of the Mediterranean blockade has withdrew to join forces with the navy defending Morocco.

OOC: Just to confirm, since the OP is flawed, I am recognising this as a 'declaration of invasion' or essentially just a land claim. We assume/know troops are heading for us, but unless you want to RP huuuuuuge amounts of losses, I suggest you pretend you never actually landed.

Also, you moved troops towards Africa. You did not RP the taking over of Morocco, the setting up of defensive positions, artillery and a fleet there to intercept. Unless you can provide proof of this, your post is also flawed.

And for the record, Mergerberger can say that polls said whatever the hell he wants them to say. It doesn't make it true.

OOC: Okay, well I'm just gonna say 'whatever' to all of that in regards to Morocco, since it is quite irrelevant. As far as I am concerned I have owned the land for some time and I regard this as an invasion.

Edit: As for the OOC insult thing, sorry, I got mixed up between out of and in character when I said 'pathetic interference'.
