2nd link is the Lineage Movie, a 15 minute movie setting up the game.
3rd link is a commentary of the differences between ACI and ACII showing scenes from the game. A really good description and makes the game sound much better from Assassins Creed 1. Taken out the repetitiveness, new technologies, more vibrant colors and dynamic crowds, More open to how you want to play it.

It really looks like its going to be an amazing game. I loved the first one, i have a feeling this one will be about 10 times better than the first Assassins Creed. I'm really looking forward to this game.

The first game was still a letdown.

How so?

Repetitive, long cutscenes, shallow gameplay, silly camerawork. By shallow I don't mean to say the gameplay was bad, but that it would have been a whole lot more.

I don't think I agree with the shallow part or the camera, but I agree wholeheartedly with the cutscenes and repetitiveness. Even the PC version with its additional side missions was rather bad about it, and I !@#$@#$ hated not being able to skip cutscenes.

I'll probably be getting this sometime... maybe for Christmas.

It looks good, but with L4D2 & MW2, I probably won't be getting any games until Christmas time.

The ran an empire on horseback and actually conquered it, the British had technology and ships to help them run/colonize it(easier than conquering every city in your path).

Their rivals also had the same access to technology for the most part.

Most of their empire was gained by fighting guys who thought a new way to make a spear was high tech or by sinking any navy before it got to any decent size.

Or by giving a massive corporation the right to run half their empire with an iron fist in the name of profit. Also, Davy Jone's heart (or is that just in the movie? ).

The British were only in a position to fight the less-developed nations because they had already beaten their equals in Europe. They also didn't have the luxury of simply wiping out entire cities like the Mongols did, not to mention that because it was a maritime empire they were very stretched.

Also, Kenadian, Italy never ruled the world. Rome wasn't even the largest nation in the world at its zenith.

I'd say Germany could have been closer, but this is besides the point and the thread COMPLETELY (also there is a point to be made that the Romans conquered Italy first before moving on, so it isn't 100% correct to say it was the Italian Empire)

And on topic...I do hope they do increase the replay value on the game somehow, because the replay on number 1 was a bit...lacklustre.

I agree, after my first playthrough I never really felt any desire to play it again. That said, it was definitely a fun game to play through once. It got repetitive after a while (as I was doing literally all side "quests" and saving all the people and such) but it was still a fun way to waste time.

I doubt the replayability will be very high. It seems to have a much higher amount of linearity, meaning it probably won't have a gigantic amount of variance.
