Bechar, Johto Empire
Rebels opposing God-King Sulieman's regime have now erupted in violence, taking the city of Bechar and throwing it into chaos. God-King Sulieman has ordered Army commander Kahled al-Fulani to lead a regiment of 1,500 men and two tank divisions into the city to restore order. Kahled al-Fulani has also requested assistance from the United Mechodamian States, but has no released information regarding a response from UMS. Casualties in the city have been totalled to somewhere between 400 and 600 civillians and 28 military deaths.

Rebels opposing the rule of King Alessandro Romano have recently removed themselves from our western borders - if there is a link to the two, what remains of our Spanish force will be sent to assist if asked.

Mu'tazz Nadim Isa. Intelligence on him brings up a bit of an empty slate. He is a resident of Carthage in the Swell Zone, an area of Morocco full of immigrants. He is not a citizen and has not been in Carthage for six weeks; his visa is about to expire, and his family is slated to be deported with it. If he returns or there is activity regarding his family you will be contacted. Is there anything else we can do?

Massive fighting engulfs the small city of Bechar as the rebels open fire on all military personell entering the city. It appears from satellite images that the rebels have gained access to high-powered military rifles to machnie guns once in service with the Empire. It is not known whether these were taken from local armories or if a soldier was selling weapons to the rebels.

The JES Sulieman has been slightly damaged, but nonetheless naval crews have held off the rebels. Reports indicate that they have set off in trucks and are headed towards the Carthage and Libya borders. Kahled al-Fulani calls this a "great achievement - now we can kill them while they're running."
