I am new to this game, I never be a monarch before this rolleyes.gif , so I need some directions,
First of all, how to choose the right alliance? I have been receiving many messages from players asking me to join their alliances, since I consider myself just a beginner some tips would be nice.

Thx in advance

PS. every tip for a beginner is welcome , not only about alliances.

I like the nations with the drive to go solo for a little while, they always become better members in my opinion.

If you're really looking for advice beyond guides any alliance can provide to you, it's pretty simple.

Check the forums and get involved in tech deals. There are many alliances that will extend protection just for tech dealing with them and you won't even have to join them. Then the money you get, beyond buying the tech those nations are buying, should be used on infrastructure and a marginal amount of land.

Make sure if you don't join an alliance, you always keep up a small military so that if attacked you won't get anarchied right away. I suggest checking in twice-daily if not using an alliance for protection.

You started alright, using proper spelling. tongue.gif

but you're right, alliances is what make this game a lot of fun.
If you look for an alliance, look trough the messages you recieved and check the forums of the ones out you liked best.
Choose one to sign up for and become a part of the community, if you decide you don't like it there leave, because you aren't married to that alliance. As long as you haven't received a lot of aid no alliance will hate you for leaving.

If you want some tips of which alliance to join, post what you look for here and we'll see if we can give an honest answer.

I wouldn't join alliances that can't be bothered to use correct spelling and grammar in their message they send you.

Most alliances that say "we will give you XXXX money for free" normally fall into one of two situations

-There are lots of strings attached
-You will get the money and be forgotten about

Yeah, I'd probably be less likely to join an alliance if they offer heaps of cash as the attraction to it.

Don't piss off a higher ranked nation.
Join a alliance.
Buy Infra.

Come join ADI, were looking for small active nations to grow,

also, dont even think about starting an alliance until you've been here for a while, you'll just get laughed right out or get destroyed if you dont know what your doing, and get a harbor as your first improvment

If you were to join an alliance, you would join the one that offers better education, not the most cash. Anyone can bribe you to join; but what's the bribe worth if you don't learn how to properly build later? It is ultimately your decision in choosing who to join. (Probably the New Pacific Order would be the best, since they train you a lot; or the New Polar Order.)

Actually, joining Nueva Vida will not only get you trained up, we'll build up your soul.

Focus on infrastructure. Sign up for a trade circle on your team in the trading harbour, or find one on any team and switch to that team. Sign up to sell technology in the Black Market, and read the guides there as to how it works. DO NOT skip out on tech payments.

It may be beneficial to remain unalligned for some time, and do some research on alliances you are interested in. I would personally point you towards Nueva Vida, The Order Of Light, Nordreich, the Siberian Tiger Alliance, as well as a few others. Until you join an alliance, keep a fairly high military (but not high enough that your citizens become "uncomfortable"). Only buy land when you have to, and don't buy technology until you've grown a bit and gotten out of tech-selling range.

I hope that starts you off well. Once you join an alliance you will find a variety of guides to help you learn to optimize your nation.

Best of luck.

If you don't want to join an alliance, you should consider applying to become an employee of the Citadel Trading Company. You'll get protection, as well as nation building guides and tips, from the most powerful bloc of alliances in CN, in exchange for doing tech deals, from which you'll earn a profit.

This may be misleading if they're new to the game. make sure when you view your nation at the top you have enough land and soldiers so that the warnings don't show up (in red text).
