In recent news a 11.5 foot long Great White Shark was dragged up in trawler nets. Whilst an unusual occurrence in itself for such a beast to have been caught this creature was already dead, and having almost been bitten in half.

The leviathan is suspected to be roughly twenty foot long and currently prowling near Queensland Beach, the killer shark’s suspected length being only five foot shorter than that of the titular monster from the film Jaws.
Authorities are remaining cautious of this event and are warning people to stay out of the water due to this incident, though some individuals are regarding this is being a hoax or fake with increasing pressure being put on the Queensland State Government to take down the protective nets surrounding the beaches due to frequent damage done to the local wildlife.

Until a giant squid can be found to battle this creature to the death*, it is unsure as of yet what methods shall be taken place to further deter or even deal with such a predator.

*Apologies for the bad movie reference.

I say it's an Orca. Great Whites tend to be their chew toys.

Yeah yeah, test biting usually isn't fatal. It's too bad that a "test bite" will most likely be otherwise in this big guy's case.

It's also the Dailymail. + 1 ton of salt.

I'm not impressed until it bites a plane out of mid air. Then, and only then, will I worry about the shark.

And then us and China will surround it and a giant squid will fight it to the death, right?

A 20-foot Great White isn't really that improbable but .... don't the edges of that big "bite" wound look way too clean, like it was sawed, not torn like a shark would do?

I am not an ichthyologist, but I do not think that shark innards are that solid and pink.
Executive Minister
Shark teeth don't actually tear... they slice.

So it would be plausible that the bite was that symmetrical... as for the same cut on both sides, I think the shark could have got bitten from it's left side... the top cut from the top jaw and the bottom cut from the bottom jaw. This would have to mean that the majority of the left side should be gone, but unfortunately we can't see it.

Imma play the devil's advocate and say its real.

The symmetrical-looking bite marks are what look fishy to me. I've seen stuff bitten by sharks that look pink like that.

Well I live in Queensland and have seen the news footage of the dead shark but I suppose that was photo shopped too >_>

I know little about Orca's, but I'd have assumed the waters off Queensland would be a bit warm for them.
