Website said 3LB, finish it in 2 hours and it's free. Or with a friend in 45 minutes and it's free.
So I went.
They said the meat alone is 3 LB, the entire burger is 5 LB.

They gave me a big box thing for cakes for it. Was gonna take it for some odd reason but in the car the smell was too much we literally threw it out 1 block later. I don't want to see another burger for a while...

That's what I'm thinking - or at least with the friend it lessens some of the financial sting of defeat. $14 for 2.5 lbs of hamburger isn't that bad.

I once polished off a 2-pound burger in under an hour without any prior preparation (i.e. I had meals prior to that), yes that makes me a damn pig, but you know what? I did it.

Indeed though I'm sure some here could at least finish the majority of it in the alloted time. It would be close for any one person. They'd be more likely to do it with two of though as even 2 hours later your stomach won't have digested the rest of it. With me and my dad we'd definately have this. However two people that are prepared for the challenge could manage quite easily I imagine depending on the individuals.
The key is as the other guy stated, no drinks or if you need (as your mouth may get too dry to actually down it) then water. The carbonation in soda will fill you up more then water alone. Also do some stretches periodically in the chair to shift the food in your stomach to try and remove some air pockets. It may not be much that you get rid of but here every little bit counts.

That's where a second person and/or preparation come in then it's well within reach

I dunno the burger was good for about the first 10-15 minutes...then it started getting real dry real fast.
In the first 30 minutes alone I drank about 6 glasses of water because you really do need it in order to chew faster.
As for the place it's in Clinton, NJ. It's called Clinton Station Diner. On the site it says the burger is 3 LBs....but when I got there I found out 3 LB was just the meat and the entire thing is 5 LBs
