So are you a skier or snowboarder? And feel free to post your favoritte mountain to ski!
I'm a skier (obviously) and my favorite mountain to ski is Alta, Utah. I also like Snowbasin.

I do both, but I prefer to ski, seeing as they haven't tried to invent cross-country snowboarding yet.
I love Soldier Hollow for cross-country.

I have never tried cross-country, I've grown up downhill skiing.

Skier, although the hills where I live aren't deserving of the name. What's grandly termed as "black diamond" is what I would consider using as a warm-up.
Please note that I have been skiing once in the last two years, and consider myself no expert.

Cypress' tracks are pretty dope. Whistler's are really cool, but it's very expensive and far away. Ski, obviously.

This dude knows what he's talkin bout. Though I don't snowboard much, I tend to ski more. I'm very good at cross-country skiing, and enjoy it quite a bit. Downhill skiing I enjoy, but I don't go enough to be good at it. I certainly don't know how to slow down.

Being your stereotypical Canadian child, I played a lot of hockey. Let me just say that there is almost no difference between stopping in skates and stopping on skis. Once I figured this out, downhill skiing became so much more enjoyable.
Never did much cross-country. Too much like work.

Skier but I've always wanted to try out snowboarding. Best mountains are probably Fortress, (<3 powder) Sunshine Village (goats eye is where it's at) and Nakiska, but only because it's so much closer than any of the other mountains (just a mere 5 hr drive away) although I've heard that Kicking Horse is pretty good and big white was kinda cool too.

Cross-country's how I keep fit until lacrosse starts up again in spring.

First time I went skiing the first time I went down the non-bunny hill slope I got bumped from behind and fell. The left ski got stuck into the snow and decided that the emergency delatch thing shouldn't do it's job. Hurt like hell and I haven't gone skiing since, which is kind of funny because I live on the other side of a ski mountain

I've skied since I was born basically, but I snowboarded for about 4-5 years when I was somewhere between 9 and 16 but still remained predominantly a skier, snowboarding was mostly just a social thing if I wasn't there to race and just was hanging with some friends at the hill since at the time, and still now, people seem to view snowboarding as being "cooler." I guess its because its more like skateboarding and it has more functions than skiing in terms of vert tricks and its also a lot easier to be an impressive snowboarder than an impressive skier. Plus the boots are more comfortable too unless you want to buy some high quality stuff. I raced until I was 15 and haven't really gotten out onto the slopes as much as I wish I could (only about 5-8 times the past 3 years) recently since I stopped racing. Doesn't help that the closest hill to my place is a glorified bunny hill though...

Snowboarders make longer turns, therefore snowboarders are the SLOPE HOGGING people.

So not truth, it's you damned skiers using all the slopes, I make very small turns try and keep it nose down as much as possible, no messing.
Oh and ski schools!!!! ARGH!!! like a big snake of rubbishness snaking across the slope!!
Skiers are just jealous that we have comfortable gear and can just chill out on the side of the slope without looking like numptys

How about an option for both. I always brought my ski's and my board to the mountain and would switch up during the day.

Nothing wrong with sitting all the time, as long as you're not in the middle of the piste, anyone who does that needs a damn good smack!
I didn't learn in a ski school actually I'm self taught. Don't know if you've been the the French Alps, but unfortunately the damn ski schools seem to go just about everywhere except blacks, and alas few places have black runs right up to the door of your chalet.

Voted snowboarder because I am more interested in snowboarding.
I live in Colorado, and have never done either. Imagine that.
