Greetings from the Republic of Gonzo!

I've gotta couple of Noob questions,

1. Is the money you save to pay bills and buy troops in case you're attacked considered a 'war chest'?

2. Is a 'tech raid' the same as a war?

Thanks for your time ,

A War Chest is money you've saved up over an extended period of time (minimum is generally 20 days of bills, but I prefer 20 days of collections) and it goes towards paying bills and Military costs in case of a war or back collection.

Tech raiding is attacking an unaligned, inactive or small alliance member for the purposes of stealing tech from them in a pirate sort of way. Of course, it's the same procedure as war, but you're generally not over deploying to kill the person, just enough to get a victory of the person and get the spoils that go along with it.

Don't worry too much about a war chest in the early stages - especially if you are a member of a decent sized alliance. Later on you will want large warchests - I am currently aiming for around 100 days worth of bills.
