Full Version: Reason for fighting?

So, after reading the "Is this game more, less exciting post-karma war" poll thread, I was pondering:

Should CN (the game itself) have a reason for fighting built into it.

As it stands, there is currently no game reason for people to fight (other than tech raids), all the reasons for fighting are directly related to politics. So should there be for example either land reasons (like the hotspots, but only controllable by one person at a time), alliance reasons (eg the highest score/highest average/most tech/most infra/most land AA all the members get some sort of bonus (or all, highest infra gets an infra bonus, highest tech get a tech bonus etc)

Thoughts?

Yes, there should be. Whether we choose to keep the peace even with unequal resources (hotspots etc) will then be up to the politics.
