The War Memorial seems like a pretty good wonder, since costs $27,000,000 and gives +4 happiness, but it has a 50,000 soldier death requirement.

What's the best way to get up to 50,000 deaths? Raid a whole lot? Fight in your alliance's military? Something else?

Any war will do.

You don't need wonders just yet, typically nations start around 3999 infra. Once you do, the War Memorial is a LONG way down the list of wonders you should be buying. Your first wonder should most likely be the Stock Market, then the Social Security System. There are tons of different threads in this forum that discuss what wonders to buy and when - look around some more and you'll learn a ton.

Yeah, what phillip110 said. Once you are actually at the level where you should be considering the NWM, it will not take a lot of fighting at all to reach the 50k requirement (probably just one war).

Actually, it took me several wars before I qualified for mine, however it wasn't until Karma that I finally met a nation that tried to make ground attacks on me.

But yeah, there are many wonders much better than the memorial, and if you wind up being a pacifist and getting your space program first, it won't be a complete tragedy.

Change your alliance tag to "none".
(If you keep your defenses as low as they are right now without an alliance tag to back them up, you'll have all 3 defensive war slots full all the time.)

When it was time for my War Memorial (and phillip110 is right, it should certainly not be on Chintan's agenda at the moment), this is exactly what I did. Just went unalligned for a week, was raided a few times, and came out with 92,713 heroes that I raised a very nice memorial to.

That's hilarious. You guys also realize that you could just fight a duel with a friend and then even put prizes on the line? (it's not war slot filling if actual fights occur)

By the time you get that far in wonder purchases, most nations will have 50k casualties. A single nuke at a high level will kill that many or more, so as long as you fight in one big war in the next 18 months, you'll be fine.

Just demand satisfaction of somoene. A duel not the other kind.

By the time you are ready for a War Memorial it will probably only be 2-3 ground attacks to obtain the necessary casualties.

Declare war on someone with nukes. Send them private messages insulting their mother. Your body count will rise so dramatically you'll need several War Memorials. Shame you can only have one.

What Ch33ky said. Get nuked once at that stage and you should qualify.
