I've sent invitations to all of the above, and the tournament starts when there's 7 people. When that happens I will make a second one and send invitations for it.

So there's going to be several of these 7-player round robins. Who exactly advances? Winner & Runner-Up?

You guys are pretty good. Haven't played in a while and you're all really making me think twice about what I'm doing.

Sorry about timing out my first game everyone. I lost electricity and internet connection for about 18 hours. If anyone wants to play another game after the tournament round ends, I'd be up for it.

EDIT: for fun, not part of the tournament. My timeout was a completely valid loss.

I think it's a double round-robin in which each player plays each opponent with each colour.

Where is the option to make a tournament? I can't seem to find it.

Vinzent is really frustrating me this game .

After following "Tournaments" link in the upper middle part of the page, there ought to be an option in one of the right menus to "Create Tournament".

As an advisory, Live Chess is still in its Beta Stage, and thus, there are a lot of issues with it that differ with a lot of people.

It may be easier to set up a Tournament in Correspondence Chess, or "Online Chess", rather than Live.

That is my recommendation to you all. Godspeed.

There is nothing more frustrating than being hit with a loss in a winning position, because of a sudden and unexplained disconnection. This happened to me twice, so no more "live chess" for me.

I kinda threw away the second game without realizing it. First one was pretty intense and he got me after a decent fight.

Haha, no, no championships won. I'm an average club player. As for the move, it was a gambit -- I traded the pawn for a lead in development.

All levity aside, it means tournaments started by non-premium members can only hold up to seven contestants. So you'll have to wait until this or the first one is finished to fit somewhere into it.

Had a great couple games with Magicman, we each won one. Vinzent beat me once and the second game is roughly even so far... all around, this has been some great fun.
