Political Parties
Libertarian Party
The Libertarian Party received large amounts of support from the American people due to their policies being word-for-word with the Constitution. They hold a plurality in both the Congressional chambers. They push for states' rights, personal freedoms, a fairly non-interventionist policy, and a strong military that will solely protect America and her closest allies. Their policy on the war on drugs is to legalize Light Drugs, like marijuana, and to decriminalize Heavy Drugs, like heroin, but give heavy fines to those caught with it. They are a generally Central Right Wing party. They support capital punishment.
Conservative Party
The Conservative Party is the smaller of the two rightist parties, and contend with the New Democratic Party as the second strongest party. They support a strong military that will protect any region they have interests in, state's rights, personal freedoms, capital punishment, decriminalized, but not legalized, marijuana, and the banning of all other drugs. They are farther to the right than the Libertarians, and want a slightly more centralized government.
New Democratic Party
The New Democratic is based loosely on the Democratic Party of the United States. They support decriminalized marijuana, an interventionist policy, a centralized government, the banning of capital punishment, and nationalized healthcare. They contend with the Conservatives for the #2 spot. They don't have as much support as they could because of their nationalized healthcare policy, as many find it reminiscent of the Obama Administration that caused the Revolution. They are on the left wing.
Socialist Party
The Socialist Party is the smallest party in the Confederation. They support nationalized healthcare, a centralized government, a more socialized economic system, and the banning of marijuana and capital punishment. They are the least liked of all the parties, as they are more leftist than the New Democratic Party.
