Full Version: Concerning GMs

Wayward Dawn
Your New GMs are Sarah Tintagyl, Californian, and Elrich von Richt. Hawk11 and Lavo have been relatively inactive and will be relieved of their responsibilities pending such time in the future when both themselves and the moderation feels they have the time.
Il Terra Di Agea
A fantastic move, by a glorious mod that was far too long in the making (No offense Hawk or Lavo.)

This initiative has my full support, and I'm ecstatic that we may finaly have some excellent, consistently active GMs. I couldn't have chose better GMs myself.
Sir Keshav IV
This is interesting, interesting to see some new names.

Congrats guys.
Voodoo Nova
Congrats, although I'm puzzled as to why we have three instead of two.

Three is what is was before Hawk and Lavo.

That being said...congrats to our new GM's!

Poor Sarah... sad.gif While it's nice being a GM, not everyone appreciates the work these people do for us.

I'm speaking from experience. wink.gif

They were me, LVN, and...Oh, I know who it was, I just can't remember his name cause i don;t recall seeing a post from him in a little while--it was the guy who was always doing Distopyan nations.

EDIT: 'twas VinceSixx who was the third GM.
Pikachurin
Congrats to the three of you! awesome.gif

Ah, thanks. I knew I knew him. I know he isn't completely inactive, but I don't recall any posts from him for a few days, at least.

Elrich is about as unbiased as Darth Vader trying to choose between saving his son or saving the Emperor.

/it should be noted that I will never follow anything he says as he has a horrible bias against me and I him
Wayward Dawn
It should be noted that all GMs have biases, and you will follow their rulings and indications or create your own Roleplay universe separate from CNRP.
Sargun
"All GMs have biases" is just opening a floodgate for abuse.

Perhaps...or you could look at it like this...some biases are not as strong, or are against irrelevant things... tongue.gif

All bias is bias. There should never have been GMs in the first place - we just need to police ourselves instead of putting random people in positions of power.

But we have shown too many times that we are not always capable of 'policing ourselves,' as you put it.
Wayward Dawn
Regardless there is such a thing as bias and the members have been selected in accordance to their observed tendencies. Your opinion of how things should be run has been thus noted; please feel free to poll the community on their standpoint.

That's why we have Californian and Sarah. If ome says no because of his/her bias, then you call upon another GM to make a new ruling. Simple as that, I say.

Sarah has a known OOC feud with the Nords, and Ty is.. well, he's Ty. wub.gif Ty wub.gif

he's about the only one out of these three who is even suited for it.

These three were chosen, not because of lack of bias, but because, as N Reeki said, their biases do not completely overlap.

How would you know why they were chosen? The only way any of us would know is if they make it an open and democratic process, but it's obvious that it's their way or the highway.

(Which it should be, at least in accordance to the rules. But this is a community of RPing that has little to nothing to do with the actual rules at all)
BaronUberstein
Sargun, they're the best GM choices we have right now. Stop whining.

Common sense, and I'll admit it was a little guesswork, so I don't actually KNOW. But that is the most logical reason for there to be multiple GM's instead of just one or two.

You are biased towards Californian, just as he is biased towards the Nordic Nations. The operative term here is hypocrite.

Of course, whenever someone says anything that opposes you it's whining. Classy as always.

Ooh...I've been waiting to see someone say that to Sargun.

There has always been multiple GMs, yet they should have been chosen not for their biases in certain areas but lack of them altogether. Hawk and Lavo might have been "inactive" but they were always on IRC when needed and did a damn better job than any other one ever did.

Californian has shown to be unbiased in an OOC manner towards the Nords, which is all that counts. Their IC viewpoints should have no standing on their GM capabilities.

Every human being is a hypocrite, baby. I hope I'm not the first one you encounter because I sure won't be the last.
BaronUberstein
Lavo was rather biased if you ask me, but that isn't what this thread is about.
Wayward Dawn
I have observed these forums for a significant time, I know what I am speaking of. These members have been chosen not only for their dedication but because they are the best options for the community as a whole. Furthermore attempting to say that no form of bias exists in a person is ludicrous; part of 'being human' as you pointed out.

Now, I would suggest you get over yourself and have a positive, productive conversation before I close the thread and feel justified in assuming you to be arguing with a moderator.
Sargun
