Welcome to my neutral corner. We will be exploring the ups and downs of different alliances (Mostly for my benefit so that I may get a clear picture of how politics in this game works).

I pose this question to you all of the community: What do you think of the Poison Clan?

You're asking for an objective perspective on Politics based on subjective views. It's not going to be pretty.

My opinion on Poison Clan DEFINITELY involves puppies and kittens. Dying.

So you sacrifice puppies and kittens at the alter of your god, Poison Clan, as a sign of worship?

That was a GOOD one lol

I like Poison Clan when I was going to form an alliance they were going to protect us
A Soviet Attack
I think Poison Clan are OK.
Cortath
If only they were less ... poisonous, and in less of a family based village structure. *chuckles*

Their nuke/NS ratio is impressive. As for everything else I direct you to my sig.

I lost some respect for them when they asked for 20k technology from TPF. That is being an outright opportunist in my eyes; especially considering the history between them. Prior to that incident I thought they were a pretty decent alliance with a tight community which is a positive in my book. They also have some great statistics for an alliance there size.

Heh, I was thinking the opposite. Considering the history between them I would expect PC to want even more. I certainly know I would.

I like PC as a whole. If I wasn't in Nordreich I'd probably apply there.

To a degree I can see why from there perspectives. But personally, I'm not the type to go out of my way for revenge which is what it seemed like they did. Then again, that's just my perception on the event.
Schattenmann
PC ah, well, they're PC. I think I can respect any alliance that survived in the face of what PC was put through. They need more intellectuals, though.
Nintenderek
I think they should have picked a different name so that their acronym wouldn't be PC. Why do I think this you ask? Because I for one do not think of Poison Clan when I think of the letters P and C together like that when it comes to Cybernations.
Gondor
PC seems good, although they destroy themselves by being on Pink.

The history between them involves TPF not destroying them when the should have, and instead granting mercy, and even an NAP that PC broke.

Interesting points of view....Thanks all for a successful first "Franco's Neutral Corner"

Also, I meant neutral by *I* am neutral and do not really know either side for or against.
Francesca
I have little respect for Poison Clan due to their disregard for their treaty with TPF, and their role in the Popcorn War.

Ask about more alliances. This could be fun.

Interesting idea. I doubt you'll get 'big personalities' of CN to comment in anything but the blandest of terms unless to offer effusive praise of an ally or a cut against a present or future enemy, but I wish you luck.

I don't really like PC because of their high profile status as raiders and proud of it, and their treatment of the TPF NAP was pretty low. However, they're skilled and individually good people, from working with them in the Karma war, and they managed to sort out the IS-CG issue well (despite the first impressions of their support thread). Now that their blood feud with TPF (which has been fuelling them since they were created) is gone, it will be interesting to see how they move forward.

That would be fine and all but TPF also demanded reps and placed restrictions upon their membership. I can only imagine the bullying behind the scenes. I can guarantee there were more than a few threats of war, ZI, and so forth. We're talking TPF in full hegemonic beatdown mode. Are you even aware what kicked off that whole issue and why you're now saying they "should have" been destroyed?

I miss them, honestly. They are good people and sometimes I wish I never left.

I was reading this, it was interesting to some extent. I didn't know much about the TPF-PC drama, I learned it a bit. This can get interesting depending on what people post.

It really depends on the topic. If it was like, Who is a better leader?: Ivan Moldavi or 'Place famous name here'.
If you put something in there you might get Moldavi and the other guy to comment, but you would need some really good questions so start an amazing debate.
Buds The Man
PC is ok. I enjoyed some banter with them in the previous war had a couple of very good opponents and they were in general a fun bunch to hang out with. I thought the terms on TPF were BS as they went after TPF but to the victor goes the spoils I guess.

Poison Clan is pretty freakin sweet. awesome.gif

What did I miss...where did we go?

The whole NAP thing seems stupid to me. So if we had waited three more days everyone would be cool with us? Would more TPF members gone into peace mode?? I don't think so. Would it have turned the tide of the war? No way...

But if some of the people on here can't e-lawyer their way on the forums they wouldn't know what to do with themselves. So we threw them a bone to chew on till the next big war.

Hmmm PC... I'm mushy for Mushi... that's about the only good thing I can say about them atm. Most of their better members left when Murder Inc. was made. Also , lost the better part of them when Twisted died(OOC: Left the game) Oh yeah they also suck at going nuke rogue. I expected most of their members to put up a better fight. Kinda sad really sad.gif

I can expect the opposite, NPO and Mhawk posted terms negotiations on the OWF repeatedly in their attempt to play the victim, and make it out like they were being bullied or offered harsh reps. Actual threats of ZI etc would of been posted all over the OWF by Mhawk if they had happened, and I never heard anything.

Fishing for attention generally will not be received with positive results unless you are wildly popular and those that are wildly popular generally do not fish for attention.

Just sayin....

Many of my former alliance-mates in Nordreich are fans of Poison Clan owing to their relationship with the (former) Lone Star Republic.

Me? Let's just say that if one either group hopes for even closer relations between those two alliances, it's probably a good thing I'm not Kaiser anymore.
