Specifically, an alliance more on the militaristic side. Having to ask permission to declare war is ridiculous.

Sorry that STA isn't Chaotic Evil enough for your tastes. They're great guys.

Maybe you should start your own alliance... then see what happens when a member declares war without permission and gets the rest of your alliance rolled because of it.

Or maybe, individual nations can just notify the leader of their alliance when going to war for their own personal profit, and completely accept responsibility if defeated.

Reasonable? I think so.

I don't. If you're going to be in an alliance, you're agreeing to respect its charter and chain of command in exchange for defensive protection and other privileges. When you go off and attack another nation for "personal profit", you risk starting a war with another alliance. Ask any alliance leader and/or Minister of Foreign Affairs and you'll hear their biggest complaints are from idiots that attacked without permission.

"But I won't attack the wrong guy!" Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure. I once tech raided an ally by mistake, which is why I believe I shouldn't tech raid no more. I prefer to arrange a war with another nation when I get an itchy trigger finger. Clear it with the brass in both alliances and then start swinging.

I don't know if you took the time to find out but the STA allows tech raiding non-aligned nations as long as you have a tech raiding license. You declare on an appropriate target and you get all the profits of the raid or all the consequences.

Wow. There ya go. License to be Chaotic Evil, right there. Told ya STA are great guys! Za' Sibir!

Now, if you want to raid aligned targets, I don't see any alliance wanting that to happen.

if you join the huns allinace you are allowed to attack anyone without an alliance affiliation. if they do have one, you must notify allinace government and ask permission. we are an alliance wrapped around a military background and take war very serious. we protect our own and destroy our enemies. so why not join us???

give me a PM or reply to this....
