Number of Soldiers: 22,521 (143,032)

That's what is says now. Since my population is 83,435 Working Citizens, I want it to say:

Number of Soldiers: 22,521, 26.99% (143,032, 171.43%)

Since both percentages have an in-game purpose, I think it would be nice to have.

I also think you should add that to the "Buy soldiers" page, so instead of:

This transaction will purchase 1 soldiers (probably shouldn't be plural anyway) for a total price of $3.20. Based on this transaction you will have a real military of 22,522 soldiers with an efficiency of 143,038 and 0 (0) deployed soldiers.

You get:

This transaction will purchase 1 soldiers for a total price of $3.20. Based on this transaction you will have a real military of 22,522 (27.00%) soldiers with an efficiency of 143,038 (171.43%) and 0 (0) deployed soldiers.

would make things too easy, and unnecessarily clutter the main page (imo). There's nothing wrong with getting a calculator out every now and again!

I was literally thinking about this today when I bought some soldiers, and how it would be really nice if it showed on the purchase soldier screen what your soldier percentage is and what the new one would be, and instead of suggesting it, I can just post here.
Viluin
Additionally, instead of entering an absolute amount of soldiers in the purchase screen, it would be nice if you could enter the percentage you're aiming for.
The Fallen
this would make it alot easier to buy soldiers and not go overboard because generally, i would end up hitting over 50% soldiers but i don't kno where i am exactly and wouldn't be able to figure out how much to sell off. with the percentage available on the screen, i could find that i have 58% of soldiers and so then i can take off 23% (considering Viluins post is also in on this so i dont' have to add in the actual soldier amount). it would make soldier buying alot less frustrating wink.gif

Was just thinking aboot this in TE.
Kung Fu Geeks
how about to avoid clutter you make it like the happyness or the environment number. i.e. white on white, so you have to highlight it

so you instead have something like (highlight to see)

Number of Soldiers: 22,521 (143,032) 26.99%(171.43%)

ChairmanHal
Test it in TE and see how people react. I honestly don't see it as cluttering up things that badly, and its "nice to know" information for those who are concerned about such things.
Emperor Stranger
Let's do it.
Fort Pitt
It may make things easier, but it could potentially lower server load by a few clicks, which during a war, a few clicks per nation = a lot of server load.
von Droz
Good idea, I definitely think it would be best to just make it white text so that there can be no complaints of cluttering.
United Liberation
sure,i dont see a problem with us having it! Lets do it!
Vhalen
Just add the percentages to the soldier info on the extended display. Nobody'll care about a little more clutter there. wink.gif
