Common Defense Treaty was first created in the 2nd round by a very tight group of alliances from Standard Edition. Unlike many other alliances, we choose quality over quantity and had closed our doors to the public. As a result, CDT has been consistently been hanging around in the top 5 of Average NS. We have always been a "small" alliance in the sense that our member base has stayed at a constant number while the amount of TE players fluctuated. Backed by this core of skilled and active rulers, CDT has gained a reputation for its military prowess.

CDT signs no treaties of any nature, overt or secret. We defend all our members no matter the odds, and we will not compromise our sovereignty and our will to other alliances for more power over other alliances.

As the members in CDT has played on, we have realized that TE is a great way to meet people. We have therefore opened our doors to the selective individuals that have proven they are worth having in an alliance, and will do their part. Any nation now may pm the leader of CDT (currently Popsumpot) to apply for membership if they are above the CDT Avg NS at their time of application.

If you want to join an elite group of nations that has been independent and do not compromise on what we stand for, think CDT over.
