Simple. When a mass war is declared on your nation (3 enemy nations declaring on you) a war tax rate is unlocked for the defender. 55% Income tax rate for the 7 day duration of the war. This is only fair!

Just no. My suggestion is that you don't get into that situation.

I think most things are realistic in this game (besides the names of nations and alliances such as "Mushroom Kindgom" no offense but would be quite funny name in RL). I'd like to keep it that way.
