Full Version: spy slot filling

Seriously, I have read all the stickies and I am not sure where to post it, so I will post it in the "Question Center" as a question of "Where does this type of thread belong?"

It relates to ingame actions/suggestion but it isn't a "gameplay" suggestion, and while it isn't an appeal it does deal with a "warn" but since it is in game it doesn't go in the appeal forum (which is for forum appeals only).

Basically, it is mostly just a "comment to the moderators" but there isn't a clear forum to do that, so I will post it here with a request that it be moved to whatever forum is most appropriate.

Thanks.

This is in reply to a message I got in game regarding a warning for "spy slot filling." I originally attempted to respond to that message but could not because "Moderation Team" does not exist in the game:

I will not "appeal" the warning, as I have re-read the rules and it is clear I broke them.

But I would like to state 2 things to hopefully prevent future issues and help fellow game players.

1) On the spy page perhaps you can change it to read "Spies sent between players in an alliance is never allowed, regardless if their alliance is at war or not"... because the way it currently reads you can get confused (as I did) with the next sentence where it states that "allied" players may not send spies against allies during war time. I assumed the spy slot filling was only during war time across the board, but now realize that is not what it states... it just doesn't state that very clearly.

And #2

If Seerow received a warning I would hope you would remove it, as I was just testing out the spy function and did not "attack" him with his consent. I figured it would be funny for him to get a message saying he had been spied on and was going to tease him. Hopefully 2 people are not punished for the actions of 1 idiot (me).

You''re suggesting a modification to how the rule is written, so it goes in the 'Moderation' forum.

EDIT: Actually, I change my mind; Either PM an admin or post in the 'Suggestion Box'.

Your response shows that the area it belongs in is pretty unclear, so it's fine where it is, until a mod rules otherwise.

Also, I posted a topic similar to this in the suggestion box in ignorance of this topic.

True, only forum warns and bans can be appealed. Normally I'd say this belongs in the Suggestion Box but since it's in regards to a new feature I think Moderation is a good place for it in this case. Thanks for asking and for bringing up these points; I'll point admin in this direction.
