With the subway overhaul underway and 20% completed, the government has launched another major construction project. Based on the Russian design for the Palace of the Soviets, Vaulian Engineers have released plans for the construction of a modified version of the original concept in Vaule. Unlike the proposed “Palace of the Soviets” the Vaule Tower will be 710 m tall and is set to become the Headquarters of Vaule’s State Arms Production and Export Ccompany, VAECO. The VAECO Group of Companies also specializes in mercenary forces, special operations and providing bodyguards. Almost all of the funds for the new building were donated by the company’s founder Lucas Karpov who retired early last year. Although there have been persistent rumors that VAECO was formed by former Vaulian KGB operatives at the end of the Communist period, Mr. Karpov has maintained that the rumors are all invented by his enemies.
VAECO has a current staff of more than 17,000 people working all across Vaule. The Vaulian Military also frequently collaborates with experts from VAECO on weapons research and development.
Construction on the new building is set to begin in three months time once an appropriate location has been identified, and the necessary materials have been acquired.
