Message to Chang Khong and Maelstrom:

The Government of Boomtown is by no means a wealthy nation. We do have a number of young men and women who are university educated teachers. We would like to offer the following to Chang Khong:

Boomtown wishes to embark on a program that will have a significant long term affect on Chang Khong's growth as a nation. We hope to build a network of local schools to provide quality educational services inside Chang Khong. In order to meet this goal we will provide the following:

1 Squadron of C-130 Transports
900 men of our 39th Reserve Civil Engineering Battalion
Heavy construction equipment

We will follow up this with an ongoing supply of teachers and other educators as each school is finished.

We request from the Dragon Empire overflight permission through the Chollan state and into Chang Khong. We also request supplies and fuel for our men and equipment when they are in Chang Khong with the hope that a shortened supply line will reduce our costs and allow us to invest the saved funds into the buildings.

From Chang Khong we request a team of guides, linguists, and other support staff. We will need to fly writers and other learned individuals to the University of Boomtown to brief our educators and to begin the process of creating culturally appropriate educational textbooks.

We appreciate your generosity in offering support to our nation. There's a popular worldly misconception with regards to nations such as Chan Khong. It is true that our country lacks a traditional educationsystem, but we can assue you that each and every citizen is rigurously educated in the Pali Cannon. We also train in strick meditation, and study heavly in the teaching of our philosophers. We require our citizens to be commited to these teachings for many lifetimes. Should we deem is necessary to educate our population with outside material, such as western philosophies, political structures, and histories we will encorporate it into the educational structure we have in place.

By invitation, we are always willing to educate any one who is looking to seek truth and absolute knowledged. Boomtown, and every nation in the world will always be encouraged to contact the chancellor's office should anyone of your educators, or higher citizens be interested in our teachings. Please take caution that to seek the knowledge of the monks Chan Khong Monestary requires a one lifetime commitment.

We do not have an airport and we do not feel this effort is necessary to burden our good friends of Dragonisia by using their landing strip, which they so kindly allow us to utilize. Also, Chan Khong cannot risk having outsiders on that magnitude within the city walls of Eko for we do not have the means to accommodate them; thus, rendering it impossible to accept your generous offer.

Finally, We welcome you to send a team of ambassadors, and establish an embassy at the House of Foreign affairs, and will glady sign any alliance treaties that will insure the longevity of peace and friendship among our nations.

Respectfully,

Firestorm
Interesting turn of events, and after much discussion several members of the Religious Studies Department and Boomtown Anthropological Society at the University of Boomtown have expressed interest in studying your philosophies. If you could forward details of the specifics of entering into and studying in Chang Khong it would be most appreciated.

As per our friendship treaties, both parties may transit freely through our territories so long as they take nothing from them. We also are sanctioning the supply line assistance and if Chang Kong ever needs to use our ports or airports they merely need notify us so we may prepare them for their use.

Please take note that our 'philosophies' are not meant to be merely studied. They are meant to be lived. It takes more than just an inquisitive minds to cross through these gates. We accept the minds who seek the answers to questions never told, or desire to never desire, and is willing to learn and understand that everything means nothing, and to lose everything, means gaining everything. This you cannot merely study, for it must be lived, and lived over and over again.
