1 Week Ago, Ohio River, West Virginia

It was a calm day on the Ohio River. Grunder Industries began to survey the River on their side for purposes unknown. It was rumored that they wanted to turn a stretch of it into a new lake, or water runway, it was all unknown. A surveyor began to fill his canteen with water from the river, it was supposed to be rich, clean, and perfect for ones health thanks to the runoffs of fresh snow water from the Mountains of West Virginia, but instead, there was a greenish-brown, smelly, sludge as one could call it. He did not even take a sip, but instead sent it to the Chemical Labs for testing. Another man, the Foremen of this expedition looked to the other side of the River, and saw the problem. Altea, it had built factories, and other dirty devices along the River, and was spewing its filth into what was once rumored to be the cleanest river in west Virginia.


**Now**

16 Observation Zeppelins were prepared for a long term mission over hostile skies, behind them, 20 C-130s began to load up with Paratroopers for the mission. The Paratroopers were dressed in red and brown, to make it seem as if a Communist Invasion was happening. They began to take off as 20 more F-14 Tomcats began to take up the support of them. The Aircraft began to cross the river, and the Invasion in Ernest began. While this was happening, a simple message went out to the world.



"Altea is destroying the Natural Beauty of our great land, and cannot fathom the extremities of our methods to keep pollution down. In their short time in North America, they have destroyed one of our greatest treasures, the Ohio River. Not only that, but they had mobilized troops along our border, and the border of our Sister, Rebel Virginia. This cannot be tolerated, thus Altea must be destroyed"

Rebel Virginia has entered DEFCON 1, and 50,000 troops and all armored vehicles are being mobilized. Attack helicopters and fighters are patrolling the airspace along the border. We will move in as soon as the terms of our ODP expire.

Unlike the Great Lakes State, Altea has done nothing but destabilize the region and the world. This is the final straw, and they will get what they have coming their way.

Again, this is the most obvious display of warmongering among all of the nations in North America started again by Rebel Virginia and their allies. I don't believe most people were aware of the environmental effect nor did you nation attempt to solve the matter through diplomacy at all.

IC; Altea has no factories on the Ohio River. One then must wonder if Grunder Industries was, in fact, polluting the Ohio River as ACIA Intel suggests.

OOC: Half of the river is mine, I can claim that, and considering public opinion is more or less going to be swayed by Grunder Industries, which has for a long time been a beacon of Stability, and Unbiasedness through its sales, and development projects. I can pretty much fabricate whatever I want, and people will believe it.

If anyone ATTEMPTS to enter the Ohio Valley, which will soon be occupied, they would be shot without clearance.

Rebel Virginian Intelligence Observers have noted that Altean troops have engaged West Virginian troops. West Virginia had just invited foreign inspectors to evaluate whether or not these allegations we true. Rebel Virginia hoped for a ceasefire while this was occurring. This will not be unpunished.

There is no way you moved that many soldiers from the Arabian peninsula in the matter of half a day. One, no one has that many transport planes (okay fine, maybe one of the super powers but even then, jet lag would be really bad for your soldiers). Two, moving them to a place where they can be easily moved out takes at least a day to a day and a half. Loading them on naval ships takes another half a day or so. Then you're looking at probably a week long journey home.

That was a CBC Reporter on the ground before a bomb exploded and killed her. Akronae, Altea's largest city, was bombed by the nation of Cain. OOC: Bombing of Dresden killed between 20,000 and 40,000 according to most historians (it is unlikely that the death toll reach 250,000 as some claim it did). It is possible that he lost 50,000, but only if Cain sent a lot of bombers and bombed the entire city instead of only certain parts of it (such as industrial and military sectors).

Unofficial Procinctian Diplomatic Channel

Typical land grabbing imperialists robbing from, with, and to land grabbing imperialists, what does anyone plan to gain from the impending bloodbath? Typical North American politics, by typical North Americans, would anyone expect any more?
This whole thing is ridiculous, a bunch of HypedUp-Trumped-KanagrooCourt-HalfBaked charges that no one with half a brain would believe. Won’t the burning of Akronae be just as bad as current alleged Altean pollution? Probably worse combined with the negative environmental effects of a regional conflict. Fortunately for me, being in the frigid Bering Sea I staunchly global warming.

Independant Investigation Report: Ohio River Pollution Source

We, the teams of scientists from Altea, have concluded, in an unbiased manner, that the source of the pollution in the Ohio River is Grunder Industries. We have concluded this due to the fact that most of the pollution from Altea would end up in Rebel Virginia and J Andres, or in the Great Lakes, thanks to Prevailing winds. Pollution from West Virginia, owever, would end up in the Ohio River thanks to the Appalachian Mountains. We suggest all nations withdraw from this conflict as West Virgina was polluting the Ohio River, not Altea.

While we condemned Altea's previous actions, we likewise condemn West Virginia for its unwarranted aggression and extremely weak Casus Belli and demand an immediate end to all military operations. War in the Americas for little or no reason must be by all costs avoided and will not be tolerated.

All Altean Fighters have been scrambled and are now in the air (They were on high alert already). We have intercepted the 8th squadron.

All bombers are in the air and en route to targets in Altea, West Virginia, and Cainette.

Meanwhile, on the banks of the Ohio River, the 5th Battalion of the 2nd Altean Army has engaded Paratroopers there. The ensuing battle will likely be huge victory for Altea, with superior numbers anf better technology.

The stunningly speedy investigation made by Altea makes it seem that it was a rushed investigation and one whose sole purpose is propaganda.

This war is in response to Altea's other actions, we must remind you. They have shown that they are rather land hungry, and potentially a threat to regional stability. Also, West Virginia is a protectorate of ours, so we must ask you to not take any drastic action towards them.

Preventing aggression by unleashing more of it will only result in more wars and violence.

The 23rd Tactical Fighter Squadron, flying SF-2B's prepare to take off.

They were held back with their brakes right by the underground hanger, and let their afterburners kick up until they were released, the sheer force of it throwing them into the Air with only a good 130 Yard Runway. They soon began to take a Fourship Formation, flying in a Diamond to increase their signature, and appear as a lone bomber over Airspace. The Flight lead, Kallen, looked to her left, and saw Richie flying second. The 23rd was the best of the best, they had been with Grunder ever since the exodus from Arabia, now they would really get to test their mettle, not like the last war against the Anarchist Scum
