Preamble:
The Armed Coalition of Valor (ACV) and Athens, in recognizing their longstanding friendship and in celebration of Aqua unity do sign this Optional Defense Pact. This ODP also recognizes and entrenches the right of rsoxbronco1 and Kevin McDonald to raid each other for any purposes, by any means, and at any time. In order to initiate a valid raid under the terms of this treaty, either party must say 'brb, raiding [other party]” in a treaty-related thread.
Sovereignty, Peace and Non-Aggression:
It is understood that both ACV and Athens will remain sovereign and independent alliances. All members are to treat each other with the appropriate respect in all public discourse and will promptly move disagreements to private channels. ACV and Athens will recognize a state of non-aggression between each other. Kev and Rsox are fair game, however.
Intelligence:
ACV and Athens agree to commit to a high standard of information security. ACV and Athens will not conduct any espionage against one another, and will share information that could lead to a direct or indirect threat on the other party at the earliest possible time. Any information regarding security breaches in either signatory will also be relayed as soon as possible.
Aid:
ACV and Athens agree to assist the other signatory when aid is requested. This includes, but is not limited to, diplomatic, financial, or other forms of aid. Military aid, while not mandatory, is also encouraged.
Cancellation:
This treaty may be cancelled at any time by giving 72 hours private notice. Any overt or malicious violations of this treaty will render it void immediately.
