The Agora Accords

2009: And we're off!
Agora is celebrating a great beginning in 2008, and looking forward to a 2009 filled with continued progress and continued cooperation. As such, we have a few announcements to make.
Forum Usage
Almost three hundred individuals from both blue and red spheres have signed up to participate in Agora's economic opportunities, political cooperation, and just plain chillaxin' fun. Users are able to do everything from shopping for a trade circle, to killing penguins in our arcade.
We have been pleasantly surprised by the amount of interaction and participation from all Agora alliances. Agora gives alliances and their members the opportunity to participate in mutual prosperity, political cooperation, and enjoyable interaction that would not be available otherwise.
In short, we are off to a great start!
Blue Sphere Senate Voting
Agora alliances cooperated in Senate voting in the blue sphere last month. We are proud to say that Agora-endorsed candidates garnered more votes than any other candidate in any sphere. This is only a small example of what can be accomplished when alliances cooperate.
Though our Senators are Agora sponsored and Agora endorsed, they are by no means only representatives for Agora. Please feel free to message Dr. Fresh or Riverye with any blue sphere concerns. Also, keep watch for a Senate roster that rotates through Agora membership.
Inaugural Spam War
This guy claims to be a Spam expert.

He said, "Wow. Agora Spam tastes pretty much like every other Spam. There was just more of it."
Agora just ended it's first ever Spam War. Alliances erected huge structures using only meat byproducts which tastes like pork, sausage, and hair spray.
Alliances were challenged to post as much Spam as possible in 3 weeks, under repressive strictures. Agora spammers generated over three thousand spam posts. Not everyone could win however. The proud, socially awkward spammers of the North Atlantic Defense Coalition rose above the fray and claimed the title Best Spammers on Planet Bob.
In honor of their great achievement, they receive this poorly photo-shopped picture of a trophy:

Congratulations, NADC! You have shown all of Planet Bob that you have nothing better to do.
Future Events
Unlike our good friends at 1V, Agora sponsors competitions and events that are useless. In the coming months, we will be hosting an arcade tournament where gamers will compete for individual honors and alliance pride. Also, we will be hosting a graphic arts symposium where each alliances' digital Picassos and Rembrandts will be showing off their skill with pixel manipulation.
Great things are happening at Agora and there is more to come!
