Wow, it was over 6 months ago that I stood here on that little purple crate and announced the Imperium of Mutual Defense’s existence. At the time, not many of you knew us, and even fewer cared about what happened to us, but since then, we’ve made some great friends and had some great times.
We have so much to be thankful for in our friends and allies that we made across CN. From our former protectors and cookie providers that helped give us a shot and grow into the alliance we are today in Legion (so much I could say, I hope you guys know that we think you’re awesome and that we still like your cookies
) to our other friends in the purple sphere such as BAPS, UPN, TP, and Imperium. We are eternally grateful for your friendships, and we hope to continue our relations in the days ahead. Our friends weren’t limited to purple though, and a special shout out to ODN who has always been a fun orange alliance and to the Spartans that hung out in our channel. (Yes Kronnn, I’m talking about you 
) The members themselves were awesome, and we made some amazing accomplishments. Our core is an bunch of fun loving people who I enjoyed working with the entire time I was here.

Now, you might be thinking that this is a disbandment. With all the alliances that come and go, you wouldn’t be wrong to think that. Instead, I’m happy to announce that IMD is merging into our long time friends Veritas Aequitas.

Merger Agreement of Imperium of Mutual Defense by Veritas Aequitas
Preamble.
This agreement between Veritas Aequitas, further referenced as VA, and the Imperium of Mutual Defense, further referenced as IMD, signifies epic wub and friendship between VA and IMD. IMD understands the significance of merging into VA, and VA knows their responsibilities as well. The IMD members shall be welcomed and hopefully shall spam in VA's forums, eat, and drink whatever may be in the kitchen to their heart’s content.
Article I. Government
IMD Government will be welcomed into VA, and granted two (2) seats on council, two (2) positions of lordship, and other select lower level positions. All other members must either be registered on the forums for 30 days, or wait 30 days from the announcement of this declaration before being allowed to run for any position within VA. The granted seats will be subject to standard electoral/appointed procedure when the first term ends.
Article II. Treaties
This decree hereby retires the alliance affiliation of Imperium of Mutual Defense (IMD) and with it this shall serve as notification to all of her treaty partners as cancelation, with the exception of the MDP with Terra Prime whom VA will honor for a period of 30 days from the publishing of this decree. These treaty partners are welcome to come and visit at the VA forums and IRC channel.
Article III. Membership
The membership of IMD will be integrated into the membership of VA. They will be able to receive the benefits, and they may also participate in our Academy if at or under 1,000 NS.
Article IV. Alliance Affiliation
The Alliance Affiliation "IMD" and all associated AA's that were controlled by IMD, are now protected by VA. Any sort of attack on them is an attack on VA as a whole, and full military force will be used. This protection will last 30 days from the announcement of this pact. All Members of IMD must register on the VA forums within the 30 days or shall be considered ghosts.

Seeing as I’ve known the amazing people within VA pretty much forever, I’m insanely happy to see that we have a chance to help work towards a single, unified alliance. IMD was fun and its members were awesome, and it will always hold a special place in our hearts, but it is time to move on to something fresh.
