I guess this must be part of their "Say No to Perma-ZI" campaign.

They take in homeless and lost nations sentanced to Perma-ZI and then help them get back on the tracks and turn them into upstanding puppets.

I put it in alliance politics because this is just one more example of the shameless recruiting messages I've been receiving.

For those who missed Subtlety 1A in grade school, this is actually a criticism of an alliance recruiting tactic.

Spaming recruitment messages from both sides are way way to high.


I'm at war with you, if the particular dude whom I'm fighting wants to ask me politely to stop and join his cause that's ok but don't tell me I'm perma-ZI THEN tell me to join you as an alliance.

That just makes no sense and gets lost in my 20+ war messages per day.

I think sending that message was a mistake ... probably seemed funny at the time, but it doesn't when everybody sees it. It doesn't read like a joke message and if I received it I wouldn't think it was one.

So you realize that alliances don't care who gets their recruiting messages as long as they are getting out. You aren't the first person to receive a recruiting message and certainly won't be the last. Atleast they don't make threads about it though.

Yeah, VE sending out these recruitment messages seems to have been ill-advised. I do not like to encourage this behavior.

As the sender of the message in the OP (which I am honored to have my name in two OP's now) I would like to point out that that was a mass message to 25 members of Vox Populi in response to their constant attack on my in-box with requests to leave VE and join their cause. Sorry to inform you but any applications to VE will be met with a big DENIED stamp followed by a Cruise Missile. Thank you, and Have a nice day.

I've received 4 recruitment messages from Vox. Good thing I didn't make 4 threads about it or they might be as pointless as this one...

Honestly, Vox acting the way it does is no surprise. VE acting this way surprises me and their acknowledgement of this as a deliberate and sanctioned act frankly stuns me.

And, as I said, I've neither sent any of these messages nor condoned them. Soliciting alliance members to leave their alliance, even as a joke, is pretty low and I'm not at all happy that Vox members are doing this.

Yet if you are so clearly dissatisfied with the situation and those you hold these treaties with, why do your signatures remain on these agreements? I know your position perfectly well and I do not fault you for entering the war. I fault you for everything else you have failed to do, and all out of fear.

This is kind of ironic seeing as how you guys keep telling us about how we're hypocritical because we stoop down to your level by using sanctions in battle yet you stoop to ours and recruit our members. Hell, you go a peg lower and actually deliberately spam us.

I personally got about 30 copies of "I want to break free" from a single VE member alone.

If you birds are going to sing the party line, at least try not to break it long enough for your self-righteousness not to be as transparent.

I don't get it Bill Wallace, why are you quoting our message - is VE joining in Vox's mission now?

He clearly says that we do send messages out, he says it's ironic that you claim we stoop down to your level by using sanctions (although NPO sanctioned first), when you stoop down to our supposed level and send out recruitment messages to alliances just like you accuse us of doing - although you actually take it farther by sending straight spam.

I once got a recruitment message from Bilrow himself asking me to join the GGA. I was on legions ZI list for nuking in UJW and at war with 3 members of legion at the time.

It is not a big deal, why are you making it one? If they accepted you it would be worth a thread.
