So many nations have nuclear warfare programs running; if every nuke in the world was launched at once, it would surely obliterate our planet. The global radiation would skyrocket to over 500% and all of our environments would be trapped at one star or lower. For the sake of peace and prosperity, a sanction on nuclear warfare must be placed. When a bomb is dropped, it is as though you have attacked everyone else, even your allies.
First thing's first, however, we need to discourage players from dropping the bomb, telling them to use it in a last resort ditch effort. When there are enough nations willing to join, all the team senators may enforce the elimination of at least five nukes with the other nations at their backs. From then we can work our way to a nuclear-free society. Rogue nations would be sanctioned and perma-TIed by the rest of the community.
If we do not do this now, our world will surely whither. Many people would die from exposure, the green fields in our national parks would shrivel, and even those at the equator would need to wear coats at night. We must defend the world we live in from ourselves and work our way to a world without mass destruction caused by overactive atoms.

It is very necessary. Without it, the degree of disagreement in this thread would be less than it is. We like our nukes. I like mine enough that I've spent $130,000,000 in wonders to maintain a large arsenal, and the means to replenish it no matter what happens.

Arenellian engineers have learned how to generate electricity from ambient atmospheric radiation. That said, nuclear wars are good for our economy and we will oppose any efforts to ban nuclear weapons.

Is that so? I contend that it isn't. I also feel that such remarks are disrespectful and does nothing more than to breed animosity among each other. Just because it's trendy to be a jerk these days doesn't mean everyone has to fall lock-step in line. I personally don't mind the nukes and support their use in warfare. Indeed, 'tis a fine weapon.

I am sorry, but the nation of Prince Edward Island disagrees. We maintain a strong nuclear arsenal and although we do not intend to use it in an agressive manner, we strongly feel it helps deter nations from attacking us.

A GRL of around or below 1 is extremely low. Enjoy the cleanliness of your atmosphere now, for when the next real war starts you will be able to see at night from the glow.
Uncontrolled use of nuclear weapons should be avoided, but Seria feels it is in its national interest to maintain a nuclear deterrent considering the violent nature of the world.
