I'm not sure if anything can be done about this, but the time is a few minutes ahead for me. Also, though I've set it to what should be the right time zone, it's an hour off, Anyone else notice this?

There is a problem with the "Edit Profile Information" panel too. It is actually a problem I see in many forums. I tried to change my custom member title, but got an error message telling me I put in an illegal birth date, even though I left the birth date blank ("---" for all of them). It wouldn't allow me to change my custom member title without setting my birth date.

Some ISP's seem to be blocking our emails. My suggestion is to change the email to a webmail provider like Yahoo or Gmail and have the board resend the validation email, as those don't seem to have a problem. We are requiring a valid email to be able to post here, I don't see that being relaxed.

Yess, otherwise i wouldn't be able to post. You can't post unless you respond to the validation email.
I doubt xs4all is blocking emails, but i could ask them if they do.

The spam folder is in the "Manage Mail" topic in your aol mail screen. Then look to the left, it should say as one of the topics "Spam".

The validation email for two people in my alliance both haven't arrived. They both have email accounts with GMX (a german ISP). They have checked their spam folders etc, but no validation emails have arrived. I can provide the account names, and email accounts info if requested.
Problem seems to be specific to certain mail domains.

That's very akward. On my aol, right under the "Sent" section, it says "Spam". I have no idea what's wrong to make the spam folder not show up. Did you try the official AOL program? Try on there.

The domain that the forum is sending the emails from does not have a MX record, nor any DNS entry for that matter. Most decent mail servers will not accept email from a sending domain that does not have a MX record.

I made an account here with my original name from the old forums. But alas, I tried to use my aol email address, which as you can all see...that won't work here. If you use an AOL email address...you won't ever get the validation email. So, I go to gmail and make a new email account, and try to update the email address on my registered name. BUT... can't do that...cuz, I haven't validated my account yet. But..I can't validate my account until I change the email address I registered with.

Talk about a vicious circle. So, I had to register yet AGAIN...with the new email address...but I can't register with the name I wanted to use and have always used..cuz, guess what, it's already being used (by some stupid person with an AOL email account I'm sure)
So, my question is..now that I have I vented...and boy do I feel better for it...is there any way...I can still use my original name...the one I want...even though it is registered with the AOL email address, that I can't change. Come on Vivi...you've bailed me out before...I'm counting on you!
"Empress Isabella"....but doomed to be just Isabella by the forum Gods
Oh yeah..I almost forgot. I'm also having the problem of it not keeping me signed in. Even to the point that I sign in...read for 5 minutes, go to post and I can't because I'm no longer signed in. I'm having to sign in 5 times during a session because I suddenly become a guest all by itself. The "keep me signed in" box is not only NOT working, but I can't even stay signed in while I'm there the whole time. Why me?

Some sites disable live updates of the thread views to save server cycles. It probably waits a few minutes and then updates the number. I just wanted to point out that it may not be a bug but rather a cost saving measure.

I actually came here to report that an "undried raisin" is unable to get past the badword filter presumably because it contains the root word of "sexual assault'. Perhaps we need to make r-a-p-e become strictly filtered (rather than loosely filtered) as this would allow the word g-r-a-p-e to display properly.

I am unable to receive email from the forums on Mozilla Thunderbird. I had to change my email to a yahoo account to be able to validate. (It took me forever to remember I had a yahoo account, since I never really go to check it.)
This could be extremely problematic, as it kept me from validating for at least 2 weeks.
