When I was a bit younger, I use to like Dragonball Z or whatever, I stopped watching it when things got all confusing. People were starting to transform with each other, there were like 5 levels of the Super Sayian(?). I didn't understand, so I just stopped watching

Yea... DragonBallZ was supposed to end after the Frieza saga when Goku first achieves Super Sayian. But, without further ado, it was extended... A LOT.

Super Sayian, SS2, SS3, SS4 and the SS ascended or something (between 1 and 2)

Oh...

I think the exact time I stopped watching was right after they killed Cell(the green guy, right?)

Then there was something with Androids, and the bald guy, Krillen, got married had a baby, and thats where it really just confused the hell outta me

Anime pisses me off.

Not that I have anything in particular against it (I used to enjoy One Piece and FMA) but living in a dorm with about a dozen Asian kids, all of whom watch anime EVERY SECOND OF EVERY DAY AND EVERY NIGHT, it tends to get on one's nerves a bit.

But yeah, I'll just say One Piece and FMA.

You're correct. That was the 2nd or 3rd saga after the Freiza saga/arc. It was quite nice, if I do say so myself.

when i was younger i watched the Dragon ball and the DBZ series, also the battle zoids or what ever it was called. now its generally Naruto/Shippuden, megatokyo, the gundam series, Inuyasha, yuyu hakisho, Rozen Maiden, alot of old school stuff and just random things here and there really

I often like shows that carry more drama, or are more serious with the story. I can have fun watching funnier shows, but when the anime cliches begin clicking in it starts to annoy me.

Ronin Warriors was the first anime I ever saw and it owned.

also the ones where it says "up to chapter blank" I'm reading online, the ones that say "up to volume blank" are ViZ/TokyoPop translations. reasoning, I spend a relatively small amount of time online and thus can read actual volumes faster since I have more non CPU time.

anyways the ones I most fervently like so far are Eyeshield 21, and D. Gray-Man. I'm sorta bored with Bleach at the moment and will catch up when I feel like it. After reading most of the series a while ago I've begun to reread YuYu and RuroKen. Also I've begun to slowly read Shaman King again since I've heard that that there will be an actual ending to the series soon (Shaman King had an annoying open ended ending due to lack of popularity)

Huge fan of Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo.

Also enjoy Rurnoni Kenshin, One Piece, Bleach, Kenichi, Ghost in the Shell, FLCL, Full Metal Alchemist, Basilisk and Berserk.

Is D. Gray-man any good Seraku? I had seen a couple episodes of Darker than Black, that seemed not bad so far.

Is what you say is true, and Shaman King gets an actual ending, I will finish that series.

I forgot to list Yu Yu Hakusho.

Also, Eva (man, I REALLY miss Justin ¬ ¬) needs a much better ending. It made NO sense whatsoever.


I wish there were more series like Rorouni Kenshin and Samurai Champloo. I'm really into the whole samurai aspect..

Animes alright. Some get really perverted however, oh and really cheesey. The cheese is just too much for me.

Also badguys need to use their plot powers more often. Oh I have this super power that allows me to crush peoples minds, I could crush you like that bad guy 30 minutes ago. Oh wait, instead of doing that I'll have a hand to hand with you and get my ass kicked.

However this happens in games as well. An example- Bad guy has cell destroying nanomachines that he uses to escape. However late on when you fight him, why doesn't he just throw the nanomachines and kill you? Instead he decides to stand there like a mime and get beaten down. Nice.

I liked Rozen Maiden and Code Geass especially. Some others I've seen are: Azumanga Daioh, Haruhi Suzumiya, Tokyo Mew Mew, Kishen Taisen Gigantic Formula (the series I'm into currently, even though everyone generally seems to hate it if they've heard of it) and a few more.

Tokyo Mew Mew was one of the series I wanted to get into, but had no time for. ;[

I am currently watching Desert Punk and Elfen Lied, while reading the Shippuden manga online. You guys forgot to mention Gundam: 08th MS Team. That was my favorite gundam series, cuz those guys were piloting regular mobile suits, but still kicked a reasonable amount of ass. It's like watching Rambo, but with more people being Green Berets.

There's a new anime coming to the US that I saw in Anime club at my school, called Xenogears. Yes, that Xenogears, but it's only the first part. There's twelve episodes in it, and it's supposed to cover everything from Zur Wille Dur Macht.

You mean Xenosaga. Xenogears doesn't have an anime.

I've seen a couple of episodes of Xenosaga. Some things are inaccurate though, and I hate KOS-MOS. Really, am I the only one who hates that piece of junk. irgil Virgil was badass though, Albeado is still a child molester it seems.

Xenosaga isn't the only game with a anime, wild arms has one too but it sucked big time. They should have based it on one of the games, Really they have anime intros and everything. I would have enjoyed seeing Siggy/Zeik in action.

I've never seen Bebop sadly, I loved Champloo, my favorite episodes where when they played baseball against the americans and everyone died, and the one where everyone got stoned.

anyways about D. Gray-Man. The basic plot is that in a ficitional 19th century, this weird imp creature is turning people into demons. the only thing keeping all of humanity from being destroyed are Exorxists, which use ancient weapons to purify and defeat the akuma (think the zanpakuto from bleach). It follows this one kid who foolishly turned his own dad into an akuma and joins the exorcists.

the style really reminds me of FMA for some reason, and I've found myself getting into the story and many ofthe characters (my favs are Allen, Komui, Lavi and Alaistair Crowley). It's on Bleahcexile.com so check it out

I can't say I know of a manga site for it, but it's actually really easy to find the anime if you're looking for it on the internet. I can't say I really know of anyone who was happy with the 4kids distribution of it (Mew Mew Power), so yeah ... if you want to see it, look for it.

And there's always time if you make it. Too bad I've been spending too much of it on Cyber Nations.

hey anyone know if there's a site that has the last 3 volumes of YuYu Hakusho (3 kings saga)? Bleachexile is up to voulme 17 (right after the defeat of Sensui) but it is releasing one chapter a MONTH, which means Viz's slugish shonen jump will likely show the ending first (it is currently up to the defeat of togoro) [around 2-3 years from now]. and the only other site I know of, Onemanga.com is pathetically deficient in YYH (Yusuke hasn't even been resurected yet)

I'm currently watching Gurren-Lagann, which is just about the manliest anime ever invented, and the second season of Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni, a mystery/horror show which does both superbly. A warning though, don't watch Higurashi if you are adverse to violence (and not Dragon Ball Z kind of violence, torture/murder kind of violence).

Most stuff is good, but I hated the wolf one. It didn't make sense to me.
