Guidelines for constructively using the suggestion box.
DO
- 1. State the current situation.
2. State the problem with the current situation.
3. State how you suggest to changing it.
4. State why your suggestion is better than the current situation - Use good grammar and punctuation to make your suggestion. Making it accessible and understandable to everybody will only increase the support for your proposal. Complete sentences are amazing.
- Be thorough in your explanations, one sentence is not going to be enough.
- Check around to see whether your idea has already been suggested. Repeat threads only annoy the community and the moderating staff.
- Write what the suggestion is about in the topic of the thread
- Spam. One or two word posts stating your approval or disapproval towards a thread are not necessary and is a warnable offense..
- Propose a wonder that gives an extra TRADE slot, this has been proposed many times, it will NOT come into CN.
- Whine. Complaining about how bad the current system is not constructive. Focus yourself on finding alternatives and suggesting them.
- Over bump your thread. There is no need to continuously bump your suggestion. Don't double post bumps.
- Make a new thread proposing Improvements, Wonders, or Resources. DO use the pinned ones on top.
- No new flag ideas, this includes uploading of flags or adding your alliance flag. The only person that gets a flag is whoever wins CN:TE.
- State that a suggestion NEEDS to be implemented, or complain how unrealistic something is.
- Make a new thread for something that is almost the same as a thread that already exists. If you "got an idea" from anther thread, but your idea is really just the same as the original thread(with maybe one difference), just put it in the original.
- Make new threads asking why your suggestion has not been posted yet. You will be notified if it is rejected. Be patient.
Please take note: The suggestion box is a mod approved sub-forum, in that when you create a new thread here, it will not be posted immediately. Instead it will enter a queue of threads to be checked by a moderator. If the moderator deems it fit for the forum then it will be giving permission and posted. If the moderator deems that it is not fit for the forum then it will be denied and the poster informed, possibly warned if it is a repeat suggestion. Posting the same topic multiple times because you didn't read the rules to see that topics require moderator approval is also grounds for a warning. Also, polls have been disabled in this forum.
If you have any questions as to why your thread was rejected, you may send Evenstar or Philotheos a PM, and they will probably tell you.
This list may be updated at any time, so please check it every so often to make sure nothing has changed.
